Squandered potential

There were so many things the author could've done with that premise and that cast of characters... But in the end, Mo'some Sting ended up with very simplistic, almost disjointed, storytelling that squandered any meaningful message it might have been attempting to convey by dint of its vague and easy-going narrative style and dialogue that was grossly unsuited to the kind of material the author was trying - and failing - to deal with. Disappointing in the extreme, because I feel that if Yamashita Tomoko had put in just a little more effort, she could have truly brought these characters, their trials, and their desires (or lack thereof) to life.
