At his older brother's request, Kazuyuki went to teach English to the art teacher Kamisuwa-sensei. Somehow, it seemed that sensei was in love with his older brother... What was this gloomy feeling? ...To begin with, what is love? Do words come first, and then the physical comes after?

Teacher and pupil's hesitant pure love. The older brother's love story is a bit adult.

Most of the time I'm okay with this sort of 'standard' BL stories as long as there is at least something done right. I need to say that I looove the art here, and the chibis are sooo freaking adooorable. It almost feels like this is the first time I'm this impressed with Moto Haruko's artwork despite the fact that this is one of the mangaka's earlier works. However, putting the obvious aside I can't say that I feel the same towards the stories themselves. Sure they started off rather typical, but I could still live with that, and the characters all seemed to have potential at first. What really threw me off though, is the unintended and wasteful ambiguity in both stories that was apparent through the story telling and flow of events. I constantly had the urge to question what I had just read, or to wonder how to cohesively link everything together. The somewhat confusing scanlation certainly didn't help (not that it ever would anyway).

Unfortunately there was something missing for me.

The drawings are eye-candy, that's for sure. The setting and the characters have also been interesting and at first really catchy, BUT somehow the story left me empty. I don't mind open endings or creative freedom for the readers mind, but in this case the balance seemed a bit off in my eyes. Too many questions popped up after finishing reading, like ...

When did the characters realize their feelings exactly? When did the pairings turn out to be organized like this - Have there been hints? In the end, will there be something to expect for them and where will those emotions lead them to? ... And so on.

Please, don't misunderstand! It was a nice read and actually interesting to think about it. It's just that it's kind of sad, that all those thoughts won't lead the reader somewhere. Sighs.

I found this to be a little unsatisfying for some reason. I typically like these sort of low key stories, but this one was lacking atmosphere and development. The "main" story quickly phases out and then we're focusing in this other couple and their relationship and characters are pretty vague. I didn't hate it, but I kept waiting for it to give me more and at least so far(I think there may be one more chapter?) it just never delivered. I was never really sure why any of these people had feelings for each other. I've had the same issue with this mangaka before.

It was cute slow, and gentle.
But I wish we get more of the main couple than going to the second one. Its way too typical for a teacher-student relationship, nothing new.
One small thing that bothers me.

the art sensei should stop admiring the brother in front of his lover, its just rude and insensitive

I really like this manga. It's really sweet. I would like to know if there is a continuation to see what happens with their relationship, but I can't seem to find the raws.
The ending did leave me with some questions, Aoyagi's and Kamisuwa's feelings seem ambiguous from sensei's side. A reassurance that he no longer likes the older brother would have been nice.

1) The chibis are freaking cute. Seriously, it's almost reaching FLAT-level (search it here if you haven't heard of it! It's worth your time) and that means very very huggable. That aside, the art is gorgeous, clean and very pleasant to look, with lots of varieties to offer Hint ; she drew great stubble-laden men.

2) The story is..pretty general in concept, but I do like the storytelling. For one thing,

I'm so glad to see someone in teacher-student relationship taking the morally responsible thing every once in a while.

3) Small complaint though; it's supposed to be art-related, but there are no arts being shown. D: With a skill of her caliber, it wouldn't be that hard to show one or two artworks....As I said, small complaint.
