I enjoyed stories two and three more than the main event here. I like twisted and dark romances & I don't mind fictional cheating but the first story just fell flat for me. The personalities were too OOT and it tried to be more than it wanted, I think. See hkanz's wonderful review for a nice in-depth analysis of what the author was going for; the author certainly doesn't put this across well enough, at least from my POV. Personally, I would have rather her have been a callous & cruel person. Too many emotions.
I haven't read other stories by this author so maybe it's for fans of their work. Art is really cute in 2) and gorgeous in 3). I love the variation in style!

Girl cheats on her boyfriend with his piece of shit older brother who only fucked her to destroy his brother. She gets caught and regrets what she did because she hurt her boyfriend. It shows them reconcile in the end, but she then realizes that she loves them both after seeing that the older brother might also have feelings for her. THE END. Though, I see people spouting NTR, and that wasn't the case. Netorare would mean she didn't care about her boyfriend anymore and she clearly did very much. Feelings aren't a factor in netorare. She was just a bitch who cheated.

I love how her character type is basically Average Shoujo Girl and yet she's sleeping with the NTR sadist guy.
Stands to show that if it weren't for relationship plot armor, shoujo girls would be fucking anything with a pulse and tragic backstory.

This manga puts a dark spin on a oft-used plot device in shoujo manga - insta-love based on general qualities like physical attraction, popularity and niceness. The story is more about betrayal and revenge than romance, and none of the characters actually love each other (except possibly the boyfriend, who at least specifies that he likes something beyond the MC's general qualities, even if he can't describe what it is), and the NTR plot is the result of this weak type of affection.
The MC is an impressionable teenage girl who has never previously dated. She doesn't understand love, she's easily flattered, she's overly influenced by the feelings of others, she has unrealistic, romantic views of relationships and she also has a bit of a hero complex. In other words, not an atypical pubescent girl either for shoujo manga or reality. The boyfriend is a stereotypical shoujo hero. The 'other man', who has it out for the boyfriend, is the type of guy who all we women have met at some point - the sleazy, insincere player type who gets attention, particularly from inexperienced girls, via good looks and flattery. His emotions are governed more by conceit, jealousy and his desire to hurt the boyfriend than actual affection for anyone or anything. None are likeable or sympathetic, except for possibly the boyfriend. What I liked about this manga is that it came to a logical conclusion based on the combination of these personalities - no love, no fidelity. The pacing of the plot is excellent, the plot is suspenseful, the ending is unpredictable, and the mangaka makes plenty of use of detail (like the various poison mushrooms that turn up as symbolism).
I feel like this manga is way underrated, probably because of the NTR plot. If you can't stand cheating as part of a fictional story, or you're looking for something light and fluffy, don't read this manga and then rate it down because it offended you - just read something you like instead. The volume also contains a few extra stories, which were neither bad nor amazing.

the title story is a bit off kilter. the girl is just...wow. she want it all, and the worst part of it, she actually get it. the boyfriend is quite stupid to me. but, i don't hate her for it, she is quite a unique character in that i had never seen a character like her before.
delusional diary is very tame compared to the other stories. very cute.
the little mermaid is a very sad story. i felt pity for all the characters.
the art is of course amazing, making you think all the characters are crazy.

I also LOVE these type of shoujos- dark, twisted love, but I personally hate cheating as well (it's irony because I love Cross & Crime). But what really put my ratings up is the mermaid one shot. Go read that one instead, it's a nice twist to your Little Mermaid fairytale.

i admit, i do like dark, twisted stories and everything but i truly hate cheating. i absolutely resent it. not only that, but i do not like the female lead in this story either. in fact, i hate her. she was the one at fault, for cheating. i don`t think she has the right to go and look for kento after that. she really should have just gotten out of their world, both of the brothers, and left to some unknown island or something. i really do not know whether to continue this or not. i love her art, i do like the mangaka`s wild imagination, but i just don`t know. i feel like punching my laptop screen each time i see the lead girl.

Sakuhada Hina's later works gradually change its genre. There's no more typical innocent couple, instead it's full of mental disorder characters ... I notice somehow her manga has similar plots as hentai.Bunbetsu is Netorare (basically the main couple relationship is destroyed by 3rd party in unaware situation). The girl-Aya is not stupid, just that she has a sickening love for Kento which Haraki roles as the link to that love...you may feel rage, frustrating or disgusting with that kind of love but still drawn to it.I think the great point of NTR manga is when the feeling of hate is equal or even stronger than the feeling of love ---> still wonder myself am i S or M or maybe an alien to have interest in such kind of manga
Anyway,it doesn't hurt much to read Sakurada Hina's manga for something different, when you're kinda tired of a normal romance.I'm currently reading ''Korosareru nara Isso Sakura no Ki no Shita de'',another interesting one

I think most people don't like it because the art is different...more mature and vibrant. You get a real feel from it. The artist isn't going for conformity. She's not trying to go for the typical flowery shoujo where the male is some hot stud. She's making them appear more unique and feeling.
I love it. It's erotic. The art is great. I am definitely moved.
(Lol. I really was. I made this account spending half an hour to just create a new email to post this comment.)

I read this out of curiosity. I liked it, though I'm not really into shoujo manga, and I haven't read any other works from this mangaka... It certainly is a twisted manga, so, it's not for everyone.
I liked the art, the proportions of the body and creepy faces, the flow of the drawings.
Yeah well, in general i don´t think it is that bad, and... I think this can actually happen in real lfe, I refuse to think I have "a fragile, innocent young girl's heart" (like Aya doooes...) but I don't think it's impossible to make that sort of stupid mistakes.
