An enjoyable anthology series

Like with some anthology some stories were good others were not as good, ranging from comical, to relaxing, to disturbing and intriguing stories, that not only felt like a good anthology series, but plays around with the format a little more differently than other anthology tv series or books, I like how some of them has continuity and references to other short stories or other works by the same author. He always loves doing nods indicating it is a shared universe, even giving a direct on indirect sequel story structure to it that makes it a worthwhile anthology worth reading overall a good series, that like with most/all anthology with some stories being great others not as great. My personal favourites were the monster town stories

This is a solid short story collection by the prolific Mizukami Satoshi.

From what I remember, the short stories in the first 1-2 volumes are mostly disconnected from one another, but by the third volume, chapters are occasionally connected in tangential or significant ways.

In any case, many of the short stories are great, and some (like the final chapter) are pretty amazing, so I enjoyed the collection a lot.

Some were good, others not so much...

As a fan of Mizukami Satoshi I've been checking out all his works that are translated lately. This one is just composed of oneshots and it has its high and low points.

The first one Geko Geko was acceptable. I didn't really like the second one Yaichirou. The Man of Legend was only 9 pages long but it was hilarious, really simple but really funny. The exorcist was good, not great but good. Reading time was my favorite so far and I really liked it a lot, I wish it was longer, in fact I wish it could be redone into a 40 page long oneshot because it had a lot of potential and it showed the mangaka's style a lot more than the other oneshots in my opinion.

So that's it. I really recommend the 3rd and 5th ones and sort of recommend the 4th one as well. I wish I could read the others but by now it doesn't seem like the translations will proceed. Too bad...
