Not as good as her other works, but still well written. Mangaka knows her stuff smile !
Imo the characters were rather unlikeable. I didn't enjoy the main story as I thought Sakura was a bit too aggressive/abusive for my taste. A couple of scenes made me a bit uncomfortable, but that's realism for ya.

I didn't fall in love with any of the characters, but overall they were pretty good.

The "prostitute with a heart of gold" thing is a bit overdone, but this author pulls it off better than most.

I'd recommend reading it if it sounds like your kind of thing, or if you have some time to kill.

The short story "A Bird at Sea, A Door in the Sky" is the treasure in this manga. It's not sexy; it's barely yaoi, but my oh my is it endearing and humanistic. I was touched by the perceptive and subtle ways the author showed us how this suffering and guilt-ridden young man matured through his brief encounters with a foreigner; he begins to see his life--and his father--in a compelling new light.

The main story is decent; I enjoyed my non-stop read. The art is expressive and clean, but the plot moves a bit fast and the seme is never really explored properly which leads to a slight disconnect with my emotions.

This was the first one I've read by this mangaka. I was pleasantly surprised, after having read a couple rather bad ones before it. The story is well put together, and you get to know the characters enough to care about what happens to them. Sakura and Ryouichi have contrasting personalities that work well together. I like the fact that the manga has substance and is not just yaoi with no real story. I found the fact that Sakura taught at a girls' school amusing. I also liked the short story that came after the main one. It was about a troubled teen who meets someone who changes the way he sees things. A very nice short story, even if it didn't have a completely happy ending. I would definitely recommend this one.

The first time I read this I felt it was very well written, but that it wasn't one of Miyamoto sensei's best. The stories stuck in my mind though, and I kept coming back to read the story over and over again (on average once a fortnight!), and every time I re-read it, I would notice some new detail to mull over.
Now I'm totally besotted!

this is not the strongest of miyamoto kano's stories, but it's still heads above the crowd. i recommend them all for their realism and their characterization. and liquid passion's scanlation efforts are superb.
