Description
Ageha, an ordinary (and rather unpopular) girl, is constantly overshadowed by her popular and beautiful twin sister, Hana. Because Ageha grew up in the countryside with their grandmother while Hana was raised by their parents, the two girls ended up with drastically different personalities.
For the most part, Ageha remains a silent and hidden student in the school, with only one friend (who isn't all that nice either). In fact, nobody even really knows that she is Hana's twin sister, because despite looking alike, there is still a large gap between their levels of beauty and popularity. When... More...

Hana was my favorite

I read the entire series. Main couple has zero chemistry. Hana turned out to be more likeable than Ageha because of her progression and depth. The introduction of the "stolen ex-boyfriend" working at that part-time job with Ageha was disappointing.
Ryuusei disappeared from the storyline. I was actually rooting more for Rena to be with Sensei because they apparently fell in love at first sight, and they seemed more compatible with each other and Ageha being more compatible with the the guy she worked with.

Too much butterfly symbolism. For young girls

The cheesiest usage of the butterfly effect I have ever seen. Every time there is a monologue about how a butterfly is gonna change the world I want to puke. The manga's biggest conflict was also resolved using supernatural means. Somehow, Ageha saw Arisa's ghost? Butterflies leading the way? It's seriously bad. I don't want to see the supernatural in a manga about relationships. In real life, there's no invisible guiding force that will help you out whenever you face problems in love.
Up until the Arisa arc, it was a good read, fitted for young girls. It gave lessons on not being too dependent, taking action, and getting over complexes. However, if you are an older reader, you might get annoyed with the lectury tone.

It wasn't great, but its still a pretty nice manga
It had lots of positives and negatives, so I cant say it was either good or bad... just average
Art is fine too
One thing I can say is that HANA wuz a pain! I would break all ties with a sister like that!

Not that good in the least. The main heroine IS kind of annoying. My bad habit of completing everything I start was torture from beginning to end. Not that I didn't enjoy it, cause I did..some parts. Overall it was decent. I needed to finish it, cause I wanted to know what would happen, but sometimes it was just sooo...exhausting...I guess. Anyways, everything in this is definitely cliche, just not the good kind. Served to pass the time..
Meh, it was okay

The art was okay, and I felt like Ageha was to clingy and whiny....a bit repetitive...doubts, evil twin and etc. I know the characters did grow stronger, I especially liked how Hana end up strong, and became nicer in the end. The end was okay...I've seen worse...The manga isn't bad, but..well, reading it was tiring and depressing. Sure there were interesting/funny parts..but overall, I was tired and sighed about 50 times...Im just not use to this kind of dramatic pressure..I got stressed out a lot. So..if you like all this drama and evil scheming, then sure, you would like it Overall thought: Meh, it wasn't bad...but it wasn't that good either....its somewhere in the middle.
Hana's side story please!

This manga is exactly the style of Ueda Miwa. It starts off ridiculously funny then slows down and then poisons the spirit towards the end. I like it though, the way that Ueda plays with her characters' emotions that in turn affects the readers too (or at least me).
I've got to say at first I really had sympathy for Ageha. Towards the end, the one I liked better became Hana. I liked her strong personality and very level headed mind not just some bimbo-like in the earlier the manga depicted. I also would like to confess that when Shindou showed up, I really wished he and Ageha would develop something together. Maybe I was tired of the slow pace between Kyu and Ageha. But because there's a change of heart in Hana, I would like to see if between Shindou and her, there would be something. Ryuusei was an important factor at the beginning. After the event where he couldn't pull his act together, he just... did a bunk! Nothing heard of him anymore.
Well, I am emphasising again:
1. Funny/interesting >>> Okay >>> Slow shit
2. Me wants Hana's side story, preferably with Shindou
3. It's a good manga generally
Because I'm an extremist. So for this manga I won't be doing any rating. But if the rating falls down pathetically, I'll enlist for help haha.

I liked this manga , it was a good love story and I liked the art too . If you want to read a sweet love story with so many surprising , try this !
at first I thought that It's similar to "peach girl" but when you read more & more you realize that they are soooo different ....
In the middle of the story you can't guess at all that who they will end up with and I liked it , because I always can guess the end easily
so to put it in short this is a simple & light & sweet story

I don't understand how the ratings for this manga is so high.. It wasn't that great! Way too cliche and the characters pissed me off. It looks as if people are comparing this to peach girl and yeah, i can see the similarity but for some reason i liked peach girl better. Anyways, this manga was too sweet for me.

It pissed me off how Ryuusei always got tricked by the twin sister! I mean yeah they look exactly the same but cmon man, you should know your girlfriend, it was totally ridiculous. I also hate how frikkin clingy and weak Ageha is. All she does is get jealous over everything and is friggin paranoid about her sister! I mean yeah, her sister's a total bitch but dude, live your life who gives a shit about her. She's always goin "help help" and ugh, "character development" my ass. The ending was so lame.. too cliche, too corny, too obvious. Overall, this was a little too much for me.

This is a story about hospitals and chairs.
OK OK OK it's a bit more than that. I was ready to throw my laptop out the window a few times. I should have learned my lesson from Peach Girl hahaha.

Okay, so every chapter of this manga is pure cliché - and I'm really not exaggerating that. You'd think it'd be really boring, but no! Papillon absolutely revels in itself and turns those clichés up to 11. It's amazing.
To start with, you have the twin girls - one is beautiful and popular, the other is nerdy and plain. Suddenly there are impersonations of each other and a wonderful make-over of the nerdy one! There's a student-teacher love affair, too, with secrets and sneaking around. There are traumatic "pasts" for everyone, even if they're too young to really have a "past" and the trauma is kind of a lot lame. There are jealous exes and dead exes and will-they-or-won't-they over and over and over again...
And then there's the fact that almost every chapter ends on a cliffhanger, but every dramatic turn of plot is resolved neatly at most 3 chapters later - usually by that oh-so-handy "never mind! it was a misunderstanding after all!" ultimate solution to all our shoujo problems.
So, yes, it's been done and done and done. But somehow, I found this series to be completely charming and fun. Part of it was in trying to guess what the next bit of drama would be or how the Never Mind would work out, but also I found myself loving every minute of cliché, like when you're watching soap operas not because they're particularly suspenseful or well-acted, but because it's fun to really get into the game and be shocked and dismayed and surprised and so on, even if it's all kind of silly and a rehash of everything that's come before.
One of the great things about Papillon for indulging the shoujo cliché train is that the plot twists do resolve themselves fairly quickly, rather than dragging out forever, so the series makes for a fairly swift read, especially if you're just wanting to indulge a bit in pure sugary drama.
