Hanai is a junior higher and the best at table tennis. She's never lost, and she's won many tournaments, but after some freshman she's never heard of beats her like it was nothing, she starts losing every game after that and she can't get rid of that feeling of defeat. Now it's her first day of high school and she's decided to quit table tennis and live an ordinary high school life, but on the first day, she runs into the very girl that first defeated her. It turns out that she's also quit table tennis, but this girl always has a cold expression on her face and Hanai can't help but feel that this girl is always looking down on her and trying to mess up her perfect high school life. One day the girl falls asleep in class, and Hanai reaches over to wake her up. As she does so, the girl, still half asleep, looks up at her with a smile and almost kisses her. The girl later tells Hanai that she was having a dream about her, but Hanai coldly brushes it off thinking she's just messing with her and walks away - as the girl behind her looks down while blushing...

Very nice, very short

Hana to Hoshi was, for some reason, very intriguing. The characters actions and reactions were different than what I was used to and couldn't help laughing. The characters themselves aren't special but they were fleshed out nicely.
It seriously feels like they took the first stopping point they found. It wasn't rushed and the pacing was good, BUT STILL TOO SHORT

What is it about yuri stories being too short? This is another nice school life yuri-flavored romance that's quite well done but seems to end just a bit too early. Sometimes it felt like they were kinda rushing through the story to get to the next plot point, I can't help feeling like even a couple more chapters would have helped things feel more natural. Still, the ping pong stuff was kinda neat and I really liked the two main leads of this story. A nice quick GL story that I can recommend for sure.

Very cute. I like the ping-pong angle that the 2 characters share. I also enjoyed the character designs. My only complaint is that it was too short. The characters were just starting to get defined and getting to know each other. <sigh> I would have loved it if it had gone on another 2-3 volumes. It definitely had the potential to keep going and get more developed. As it is there isn't enough there for me to give it something as high as a 10, and cuteness isn't enough to give it a very high score like a 8 or 9 so instead it gets a good score of 7.7.

This was unbelievably cute. I don't know how GL stories work but this actually caught my attention by the art itself. It was light, not too detailed with descriptive settings.

Not really but the point is clear.

I found this by accident when I was reading a BL, and surprisingly this plot developed manga has the same antics as any other BL I've read with a similar developed plot. And the fact that these young ladies are in high school just made it one hundred percent better?
