All over the place, confusing and full of plot holes. It might have made sense in the authors mind but he was unable to make it coherent in the manga. Got the feeling hes a newbie mangaka, the story is all over the place.

Different views and opinions on the usage of fate in this story ,but I enjoy a little work in understanding a good story so I appreciate what the author has done .As for my option on the story it just good .That's it thank you for your time .smile

This is an ambitious tale of devotion, revenge, and the inevitability of fate. I love it when it succeeds, but it's often really confusingly narrated, because its chapters and scenes aren't presented strictly chronologically.
Yet while it's a very uneven series, with some really confusing lows, this style also allows for some high points which just don't happen in, say, cookie-cutter shounen manga. That's why I rate this higher than it perhaps deserves - because it's *interesting*, which many manga just fail to be.

The series was last updated in 07/2014, so it may well never be completed. That said, its first, completed season ends, to my taste, at a satisfying point at chapter 32. While it leaves some questions open, it concludes *enough*. If you dislike reading series which may not get completed, I recommend you just read up to that point. Season 2 isn't as interesting anyway.

[right now i read it till v2 c17]
don't know why theres so many people that rate this one quite high (7+)....
the "Knight - Demon Lord - Princess" plot is cliche, the "tragedy" is pretty good, the "breaking uoboros"concept is not bad... but the way he do it is rather poor... i didn't feel anything from this... if the author can portray it in a better way... maybe this will become a good manhwa.... bigrazz
really too bad...

Honestly there are few stories that has touched me like this one. A knight whom rescues a princess only to have her taken away by another knight who looks the same as him. He then descides to save her but upon meeting her she has forgotten him only to be traped by the other knight and loses both his arms. Filled with sorrow he finds another opportunity to get her back and so he takes on the demon lords fate

"You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain." This quote summarizes the plot of season 1 of this series. I highly recommend this work. You will not regret it.

Read past chapter 5

The first time I tried reading this, it was soooo freaking boring. It was norse mythology but in a really futuristic setting where almost everyone (as in characters that appear) is an artificial creation or enhanced or pilot a machine or something.
I tried to read it a second time because it was done by the same manhwaga as 'Wake Up Dead Man' which has some really freaking awesome drama in it. So I stuck to it for a few chapters more (I was supposed to be writing an essay, procrastination ftw >.>) and after chapter 5 it becomes interesting.

So if you 'try this out', read past chapter 5.
Some parts of it don't make sense. I mean the technology isn't explained at all. And 'Fate' seems to be more...tangible in here, or something. And one big 'twist' was fairly predictable, though that may just be because of foreshadowing. (Also the romance seems kinda random here, moreso than in Wake Up Deadman, but I let that go.)
Looking forward to the second season.

tl;dr Read past chapter 5.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
The artwork is great! But the plot of the story is not my cup of tea, unfortunately. I KNEW it would turn out like a cycle. The manhwa artist left little traces of hints for us. Nameless Knights turn into Demon Lords because of their love for the princess..who then die because a new nameless knight is here to save the princess FROM the demon lord and to kill him..just to be turned into the NEW demon lord by acquiring evil powers.. Ya dig?

The art is beautiful, the world is interesting, the plot is promising, and each arc of the story is well executed and paced, but the story overall is just a little too meta for the storyteller's current level of skill. I think this artist is someone to watch in the future!

And if you are an aspiring storyteller of any kind -- especially if you like deep intellectual twists -- reading this story will be informative about what it looks like to almost succeed at crafting an extremely complex story. I wish I had read it when I was first getting started as a writer.
