Wasted Potencial

First volume starts very promising showing interesting plot and setting some very nice drama and likable characters as well as some very good art but somewhere in middle of volume 2 it started to feel less like a genuine story and more like a parody, some of the main characters that had some really nice depth to them in volume 1 and first half of volume 2 had been reduced to friend A and Friend B who only exist to trow punch lines in comedic moments and even protagonist and other characters had lost nearly all depth that they had, story had also lost all of it's seriousness and drama and had stopped to develop instead there where tons of dump comedy and pointless fan service, despite mangaka himself clearly saying in the end of volume 1 that this is not that kind of story. In the last 5 volume story starts to develop again and gets a bit more serious but even then it doesn't have a seriousness that it had in first volume but more a mix of some events that are suppose to be serous with a heavy comedy around it true even if it tried to be more serious it would be hard to take it as such after volume 3 & 4. Despite combining some of my favorite genres and sub-genres in one manga (Shoujo-AI, Fantasy, Demon heroine/protagonist, romance between enemies) I can't label this Manga as anything other then wasted potential.

one thing i can say for sure for this series is this: memorable. Been some months since i read it and i remember the plot somewhat fondly. Art sometimes feels a bit old (not like a century old tho more like a decade old) still its good enough. I broke some points because i remember feeling dissatisfied by some points in the way plot evolves but thats purely personal taste so give it a try.

Quite weak plot, almost no character development to carry the weight and to character-driven manga.
Last volume was like "WTF?!" and "The End!" and nothing more.

But I was slapped in the face and proved dead wrong. This is a manga that combines two things that I find irresistible: shoujo-ai and fantasy. It's funny, it's clever, and it doesn't take nine years to complete! This will remain one of my top favorites, a real gem that can't go forgotten. I'm glad it got licensed, and I'm glad I was lucky enough to read it.

I bought all the graphic novels in French.
The story is really interesting. It takes you in another world with demons and angels. Pam, a human, fell there and became a demon apprentice. To go back to her world, she has to become a real demon. The plot was very good. The characters are linked in various ways and the author developped much of them. The only thing that annoyed me was the ending. It was too rushed. I'm sure it could have been way better if the author would have been allowed to more volumes. I'm still satisfied with this series.
The art is really pretty and the background are well detailed. The character design is interesting. Also, it's classed in shoujo ai/yuri/whatever, but it's far from being the main element of the story which please me. I don't really like shoujo ai stuff, but I really liked this series!
I recommend reading to those who wants to read something funny and more serious at some parts.

The series started pretty well: story pleasant to follow, characters likeable, art nice, and very funny random moments within it. The art stayed good until the end, which I, unfortunately, cannot say about the story. In the last chapter explanation of the 4th volume, the author expressed his worries about stuffing everything he wanted to relay into the last volume—I was wondering about it as well. The result? A pretty rushed ending. One could argue it spurs one's imagination. Sure, that would have been true if the ending felt more natural. Alright... Could have deserved a little higher rating, but, in the end, it was not that bad, really.
