I feel really bad for the older sister

For once, I kinda didn't want the male and female lead to end up together. I kinda wish he ended up with her older sister, Sakura who I found to be kind of a tragic character. She was hated by Sora because Sora was always compared to her. Even the boys Sora liked would always turn out to like her sister. Well the sister never did anything to cause any of this. Sakura was hated by Sora and classmates and she finds the one person who is there for her only for him to be taken away by Sora.

Super cliched, but not 100% bad.

Most of the plot is just a bunch of cliches thrown together so there's nothing really "new". It was pretty easy to predict what was going to happen next. = =

The thing I enjoyed the most (and didn't expect) was:
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Kadaoka (senpai/male lead) happens to have the same type of relationship (lack of communication) with his brother as Suzuki Sora (female lead) with her sister. After all, he was always advising the two sisters to get back together.

It was a bit brief though.

The ending was mehh...not great but fine I guess.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Apparently Suzuki's sister does like Kadaoka and ends up confessing. He rejects so she cries and Suzuki witnesses this. She thinks the two are dating. At least the two (Kadaoka + Suzuki) end up together.....finally.

The pacing was fine I guess, it wasn't the longest. Definitely a bit exaggerated.

I still think the male lead crying in the first chapter was a (very) pointless scene.

Again? Aren't we all tired of this shoujo trope!

Aikawa Saki does it again! A tale of insecurity and self doubt through the eyes of a confused high school aged shoujo. To mix things up, she's added an elder sister who casts a wide shadow over poor Sora Suzuki (our protagonist), a couple of bishounen, two of whom have a past with said sister and some unreasonable teenage angst which will propel the story forward.

Who should read this manga: Younger/first time shoujo romance/high school fans who enjoy a well drawn series and aren't too discerning about plots and storylines.

Who should avoid it: Most seasoned shoujo readers. Romance is almost nonexistent till chapter 3, the same issue about Sora feeling incompetent when compared to her sister keeps coming up and her inner stream of consciousness borders on annoying.

Chapter 1: the manga starts of pretty promising, the girl with the perfect sister commutes to a far off school where no one knows her sister, because she's sick and tired of being compared to her day and day again. She even started avoiding her sister at home.
At her new school she can make friends and be a normal girl like she always wanted. This volleybal senpai guy seems to notice her and especially her complexes:"someone like me isn't fit for/suited for/able to" etc. After she accidentally saw him crying, he doesn't leave her alone. She will obviously fall for him eventually. The twist is that the senpai guy knows her sister, maybe an ex maybe just a man friend, either way he (still) has feelings for her sister.

I personally don't like the premise too much. Started off great but this *will* turn into some huge exaggerated drama. If you like the kind of story I just described, by all means read it. It's not my kind of thing.
