Kana, who has zero experience with love and can't even talk to a boy, loves to read about it in her favorite manga, which according to her friends is completely unrealistic. Annoyed by their cynicism, Kana declares that she will finally get herself a boyfriend and prove them wrong. Suddenly, a handsome transfer student arrives. Is this love at first sight? Does she have a chance with this popular boy? Why does he seem to know so much about her?

I've always wanted to read mangas with characters like Kanade and Miyahara. XD

Unique and quirky, this duo has hooked itself to my brain and my heart.

I won't go so far as to call this a typical shoujo since it's still starting. We never know what the mangaka could pull.

I think I'm still gonna be a sucker for this anyway because the art is just sweet and sometimes I need a break from ever-so-serious stuff and go for something that will be reliable in making me feel light and fluffy.

What made me follow this story:

Rarely do we get a shoujo manga with the guy as a mangaka. How awesome is that? Rarely do we also get a seriously crazy guy as the hero. Hilariously crazy. No prince-type here. No brooding jerks here. No tsudere. No teasing childhood friend(though I do love me these types). First chapter, then bam, something unexpected.

Stuff in this manga that has me cracking up:

Flowers. Everywhere. Like whenever the hero is in the picture, there are literally flowers flying everywhere and even the heroine questioned it at one point. It's like the dude has a whole team hiding somewhere blowing petals into the wind when the guy steps into a scene.(we find out he uses a fan with boxes of the girl's favorite flowers).

Some might find it a deal breaker but I find it hilarious in a crack-ish way. Plus for the manga.

The heroine isn't a wimp even if she appears to be. We are told she's wishy-washy or something but the mangaka *shows*(not tells) who the heroine is in the first (inevitable) bullying scene. When it came, I was like, oh damn, she's gonna wimp out because she knows her weakness and whatnot and she does something unexpected(like fight back) which made this manga a keeper for me even if it was just a short time.

I wasn't expecting anything unexpected,(it says something really if you go into a manga with expectations of high predictability) but even that small short scene of her *sort of* fighting back raised my hopes for this manga.

Edit: I thought the fighting back scene was the only thing unexpected then, BAM! Cracktastic hero. Love. Total love for this manga now.

Warning bells went off right when he

knew that the heroine was up til three am trying to write the right love letter. Total hilarity ensues right off the bat in chapter one. It's like we have the weird otaku type of hero who changed his appearance, only there're no magical make-overs here. The lead is just really handsome and really weird.

And then, OMG, the heroine does not let the hero outshine her. Each chapter has its truly awe inspiring moments.
