Salvors are men responsible for towing wrecked ships and handling the cargo. They are different from rescue teams as they usually ask for money before offering help. Nanba Rintarou's father was the owner of such a company, but Rintarou really hated the way they operated and decided to join the Coast Guard.

However, Rintarou's father died right after Rintarou completed his training. In his will he asked Rintarou to take over his company. What's worse is he left his son a debt of 1.5 billion yen...

As a young man debuting in his father startup , i see myself in the protagonist
when everything goes wrong ,when you doubt yourself, when your romantic life is in wreck and there is no one to save you ...............

I seriously thought I would rack my brain and have a heart failure with some reviews on this manga but in truth, its not that bad!

Give it a try. It's a rather interesting manga although slow at parts but the main character is not dumb, just innocent in his ideals but then again, all heroes are like that, most of them at least smile

The main character is kind of an idiot and he keeps losing and stuff, but I think he will get better and cooler later on, what do I base this on, the pic on top of this site he looks way cooler but its all the way in volume 15 tho

he is an annoying character. the type that even if he does change, you'll still remember how naive and stupid he was/is. worse part is that his father died while he hated him. no forgiveness for the bastard son!

The main character has a hero complex he wants to be a hero but he can't handle the pressures. The plot is predictable what are the chances a guy he meets during his first rescue mission is a worker under his dad. This was a big waste of my time.

It's a great manga once the main character pulls his head out of his *ahem*

Rintarou IS annoying, there's no doubt about that. About his father, though, I don't think his father wanted to be forgiven. He had the chance to explain himself to Rin and never did. Evidently he couldn't forgive himself for what happened, so didn't want anyone else's forgiveness.

Plus I like to think the whole misunderstanding arose because Rintarou admired his father so much that it was easier for him to believe that his father could have saved the man and chose not to, than to believe that his father was human like everybody else. So don't be too hard on him.

It's very similar to Tokkyu with pretty high tension stories, one better than another. Really love the LPG disaster one. Actually Tokkyu's author drew one precious picture in Volume 8 which surprised me
