It's about the coastal lifeguard, as Hyogo Kanbayashi tried to make his way through to enter Tokkyuu, the elite lifeguard team.
20 Volumes (Complete)

The story looks good so I won't give any ratings. But I personally can't read it. THE EYES.
The eyes...the eyes.....
The huge pupil with the HUGE iris of the hero scares me.
I think this manga is very interesting for real life rescue story, too bad it's not publised in many countries so few people have read this manga thus no scangroup have active project on this 🙁
This is one of those very very very few mangas that I actually make the extra effort, time and money to collect every single book. As with the other very few manga in this particular rescue genre, the story line can be intense and full of urgency. It is also has good humor and likable characters. The author tries very hard to reveal how real life rescue is like through a fictitious plot. Its not 100% focused on entertainment I think, so some might find it a little boring towards the end, but its definitely my cup of tea.
u must read!! i truly cant stop once i read this.. the story,, art its all great!! i just cant understand why there's no one scanlated this manga!! Tokkyuu is definitely great ones, the story just so great n all the characters also. really heart touching, warming n funny too. just wondering why there's no one scanlated this..,, anyone pleeeaase... translated it,, if i could i would translated it myself,, but unfortunately my japanese is not that good,, afterall im still learning.
siigh.. just hoping that someone will translated it someday..
ofcourse,, for this series i gave a perfect one!!
This is truly a great seinen series, the story is so real and addicting. The characters are just loveable and real, unlike many shounen/seinen manga out there. The conflict seems to be a little trivial at times, but hey, they are happening at real life, especially at work. I truly adore Kanbayashi's determination and his selflessness in saving lives.
The art is simple, but easy to follow. The character designs are distinctive from each other, so even though there are a lot of characters, they are easily distinguishable.
Too bad that noone has scanlated this manga as of yet, Tokkyuu is definitely better than your ordinary shounen manga.
