Description
Destined to dance!

Homely and shy, Hime is burdened by the name her mother gave her, “Princess.” Wanting nothing more than to be unnoticed and live a modest life, Hime gets a jolt of inspiration when she tries a dance class where she meets Tango. Her teacher/dance partner, Tango happens to also be her classmate at school. Unfortunately, Tango is desperate to keep his ballroom dancing a secret, believing it will ruin his cool image if anyone at school finds out. Will Tango quit teaching Hime in order to keep his secret or will he be the partner Hime believes he’s destined to be?

Not worth the time, also agree with the other comment the weight loss was so unhealthy and made the story worse.

Pretty Corny, but Cute

Natsumi Andou has pretty, sparkly, big eyed art and I'm a long time fan. Kitchen Princess was a very cool look at desserts popular in Japan (and how to make them!) and Arisa was surprisingly gritty for a shojo, even if it copped out a little at the end.

Sadly there's not much to say about 'Let's Dance a Waltz'. Granted, it's the only manga I know of about Ballroom specifically, but there are ton of better anime and manga about the subject of dance. Maybe it's because I don't find ballroom as interesting as ballet, or maybe because the interpretation of said topic is way too Shojo-fied here, but aside from being a cute little read, it's very run of the mill.

Also, I agree with some reviews I've read that point out

how unhealthy and unrealistic it is to lose 40lbs in only a few weeks. Such a notion sends a very bad message to young readers.

Update: Now that I've finished the series I have to say… This is one of few mangas where I've wanted slap the author. Or at least give her a sassy Z snap… The "twist" was just so obvious and on the nose… *shakes head disapprovingly*. I really expected more from Andou.
