Description
From Dazzling Scans:

The unemployed Shibata Michiko is betting everything she has on her romance with a younger man—literally. In order to keep him happy, she deprives herself of the things she wants and buys him expensive clothing and accessories. Since she's flat out broke, she needs to find a job before she starves to death and loses her young love interest. However, Michiko discovers that the boy was never interested in her romantically. Depressed at being dumped and after a series of unsuccessful interviews, she bumps into Kurosawa—an intimidating former boss she used to dislike.

Difficult to read

I am holding onto the future promise that the female lead will change because omg she is so stupid. I am so angry at her idiocy and I am really trying to get through this manga to see the character growth but I just hate her right now. Just a warning if you can’t handle stupidity you might not be able to get to the part where she actually changes. It makes me mad because it’s not just her being stupid but she had to be saved and it affects other people who are trying to work hard! Where I am right now, she really is USELESS

"It's just your usual run-of-the-mill comedy romance and belongs to josei category but I would still recommend it since it is a lighthearted series."

the perfect mix of comedy and feelings

i see a lot of comments here saying the female lead is an idiot and doesn't seem to change, and also comments rectifying this misconception, so i won't bother much with it (just know that she does change in the end and it does end very well!)
i love this manga, i can honestly say it's my favorite of all time. i don't think anything else has made me laugh so much, and yet it's also able to make me emotional and teary eyed.
what i love most about it is the perfect banter between the two leads; their personalities are very well defined and yet their conversations aren't predictable (to me, at least) and always make me laugh. despite all their arguments, i can clearly see how these two are such a great couple. they make up for each other's faults.
the characters are also fantastic, everyone in the main cast is likeable (or at least hard to hate). it's a great manga, and i have so much praise it's hard to be concise, so i'll just stop now.
as someone who started reading this 4 years ago and came back because the end was finally translated, i can say it is worth the wait!

Actually Really Good

This is actually really good. The main character seems kind of dumb and immature but I think people are reading from a standard they hold for a shoujo manga heroine. If you were to see this woman in real life, she would be one of the most relatable people ever. I LOVE the interactions between the two MC's. Its so funny and so real. Not cliche like your typical shoujo. This manga is so genuine and won't disappoint if you read all the way through!

First off, I want to clear up some confusion. Shibata Michiko is NOT dumb, petty or immature. She started out as naive, yes, gullible (also yes) and desperate to get in a relationship and settle down (actually she’s still kinda is desperate), which is not that uncommon for older women in contemporary Japan. However, she learns her lesson with help and tries hard not to fall back in the same track again. In fact, too hard, considering how insecure she becomes when someone actually falls for her later on.

Michiko, in my opinion, is a character we can sympathise. Okay, not everyone is gullible enough to be tricked into spending on your money on your younger playboy boyfriend. But in reality you can feel that she’s lonely and only wants to be loved. At the same time, she’s terrified because she’s never loved before and people who she thought was her genuine boyfriend turned out to be using her all along.

I’d like to add Comedy to the list of genres cause this series is very funny. It gave me an interesting aspect about adult life that, if nothing, is a pretty fun read XD

This main girl is dumb...but at the same time she's just bitter which is funny, and also the guy is like a good guy so why don't you give it a try?

I think it's good, it's not fast or slow, because trust me i've read shoujo's where she falls in love when he just hugs her, like...huh? so give it a try girls" biggrin

but man oh man, after she found her backbone, and called dude a little bitch!
it just became a really fun manga. I would pay actual money for this.

Like the previous comments, it's good. The story was well written, the conversation between the male lead and female lead is always funny and interesting to read (as expected from the author of LoveCom). All the characters seem pleasant, even the supposedly hateful ones. I'm glad the author's already revealing info bout the male lead's love interest coz she has been teasing readers since the early chapters and it's already the 13th chapter like it's driving me insane. Tell us who the ef she is already like srsly hahahaha.

If you read older reviews maybe you'll feel discouraged, but it's not like that. In the beginning the MC is really dumb and loses money because she keeps paying for stuff for her boyfriend, but this story is about how she evolves from that and start becoming a better person overall. The male MC is also a nice character that has to evolve in other ways, and I like how he helps her to not be an idiot all the time.

I've been reading this on mangalator and it's pretty depressing at times since the MC is a very self-deprecating person and always thinks everything is her fault, but she always finds a way to get back on her feet and start again. This is also a pretty funny manga, but if you're familiar with Nakahara Aya's work you already know that.

I'm sure the MC will change a lot, since there's a lot of development to happen and this is Nakahara's work, so I'm looking foward to read more of this and see how it turns out

It's getting interesting, if you keep reading it and not only take a glance.
The new 6th chapter showed a lot of potential, I think it'll be heart-wretching and those romantic author's way, fufufu. I'll looking forward for the next chapters.
