The novel "Dusk Howler" consists of 2 parts. Part 1 (7 volumes, 53 chapters, the server "Trikia" in the game "Trikia", the European world of sword and magic) is a complete work, but readers often asked the author to write a sequel, and as a result, the author wrote Part 2, which tells about the further adventures of the protagonist (1 volume, 130 mini-chapters, the server "Murim" in the game "Trikia", the Ancient Chinese world of the sword (wuxia)). Part 2 is also a complete work, however, at the end of Part 2 there is an advertisement for Part 3 (the server "Chonmage" in the game "Trikia", the heavenly world of angels (good gods) and demons (evil spirits)); release date unknown.
Part 1 was published as a paperback by Dream Books (a brand of Samyang Publishing) in 2009–2010. In 2014, Samyang Publishing divided Part 1 into 170 mini-chapters and published it as a web novel on KakaoPage, and in 2015–2016, Samyang Publishing released Part 2 on KakaoPage as a web novel consisting of 130 mini-chapters (i.e. about 5 volumes).
Part 1 and Part 2 are combined into one novel and published on the same page on KakaoPage, so these parts have the same description and the same cover. Part 2 has never been released as a print edition and has never been published anywhere except KakaoPage.
