This is the story of four high-school students whose family name happens to be Kobayashi that end up in the same class. No Kobayashi is similar to another Kobayashi and in fact, three of them are considered something similar to the Bermuda triangle. Anybody who gets near, ends up... well... that's better left unsaid.

after rereading a few chapters...i would like to say that this is very enjoyable and if i was to make a recommendation , i'd say for people to read Ogawa to Yukai na Saitoutachi also. (that one is a LOT cuter, but this one has a few things going for it -- it was much earlier and it's sorta reverse)

The main character (the male one) is about as idiotic as the average shoujo female lead. Actually, scratch that. He's probably more stupid.
Besides the fact that he looks like a girl and is extremely annoying, this manga isn't bad. In general, I think its amusing enough, and the characters (with the exception of the main character) are likable. If you can't tell, I can't stand that type of stupidity and optimism combined into one person. "Happily stupid" would be a good description. The good news is that, since he's a guy, the female sex doesn't have to worry about taking offense.
Overall, if you can stand the main character, this manga is worth the read. Some may call him cute, but really he's the male version of a female shoujo lead... but if its possible, cries more, gets teased more, and is even more happily stupid. I have no words for that kind of idiocy.

Omake no kobayashi kun is a slow-paced manga that tells a story of four people who coincidentally have the same surname, Kobayashi. By the time the story goes, the four Kobayashi grew closer and you will really get to know the personality of each Kobayashi. As you read more, the characters grow closer and closer to you. The story itself has a good balance, it looks like a light story but as you pass through chapters there are gonna be more and more things unveiled. The story is funny but at the same time it can bring tears to your eyes. Emotional and funny, how can that be combined ? But it was done successfully here
For me, personally, after finished reading the manga, I fell in love with all of the characters. The very strong minded Fubuki, pure-hearted Yamato-kun, the playful Chihiro and the kind but awkward Kengo. It's a story about friendship a little bit of love but most importantly, relationship between humans.
I highly recommend this manga if you like Takao Shigeru (Dear Mine, Golden Days).
Hopefully Morio Masami sensei's work will be more well known to the international community because she is a really amazing storyteller.

this is an AWESOME manga. Read it! A story about friendship and high school. Light and yet, meaningful. Meaningful does not have to be complicated and makes you think what does that whole paragraph means
The art and plot is getting cuter and cuter.This is one of the best i ' ve ever read
Cute story, cute art, cute characters, cute personalities... Everything in this manga is awesome, and it's getting better in each volumes.
