Very Good!

This is a manga that speaks to all ages, I suggest this to preteens and young adults alike. There's tragedy, romance, childish dreams, and endearing situations. The romance doesn't smack you in the face in the beginning like so many shoujo mangas, but comes along gradually. Well, as gradually as it can in about 30 chapters. The main character's dream to sing is really inspiring, and I think it's a sacrifice that a lot of people could come to understand. Once again, a great read!

A good read

The art was wonderful. As expected of Tanemura Arina, a perfect drawn characters.

The story was really good. It's not really something you'd expect from a manga where characters are so young. It was deep and touching. It wasn't some silly love story with nothing but girls blushing.

The characters were recognized individually. Most of the time, side characters are just extras who come and go but the characters here were given a role. The have a lot of improvement and they did not seem shallow.

Overall, this is a really sweet and touching manga to read. It can make one cry and laugh.

I didn't like this at all

I'm a fan of Arina Tanemura's art. It's beautiful and cute. BUT sometimes I just can not stand her manga. Everything is just... So cute to the point that it make me frustrated. Maybe I'm just tired of looking at her mangas (not art, mangas). When I first started reading manga, I could only read Arina Tanemura. But now, my taste has grown. I now prefer the earthy sketches, and the deep, tear jerking plots. I think this was supposed to be tear jerking, but compared to the other mangas that made me bawl my eyes out, this seems like a comedy.

Incredibly hard to follow

But I followed anyway. xD It's a sweet, beautiful story with incredibly disjointed storytelling. You can kind of tell what's going on, but you're never exactly clear on what's happening. It's one of those types of stories.

So overall, it was lovely, but it could have been so much better with a clearer style of storytelling. I really couldn't tell who was talking half the time.

Probably the best I've read

The story line is beautiful and moving, I love how you can watch the characters develop and you learn all of their stories. It's light hearted and heart warming, it has it's funny times and its heart breakingly sad ones too.

The art is beautiful, Arina Tanemura always impresses me and the art in this one is one of the best.

I don't even like love stories, but this touched my heart. This was the first manga I ever read from start to finish, and will always be my favorite, I reccomend it to any one who loves cute love stories, or just likes a good read smile

and if you didn't/did like the anime, the plot is completely different than the book, and the book has a much happier tied up ending so I reccomend reading the manga over watching the anime

Everytime I read this manga, or watch the anime, or listen to the music.. it always has an effect on me. I absolutely love this series. It has cuteness, comedy, sadness, battles (of sorts), and it is a soul satisfying diversion.
This series is one of a very rare few that is a must read for me, right up there with Ranma (Favorite), Aishithiteruze Baby, and others. Different genres, but classics none the less.

Sweet =3

I've purchased all the books for full moon, I'd watched the anime first then decided to read the manga which was a smart choice. The story is much more detailed and you understand the characters more when you read it. I couldn't help but fall in love with the Shinigami (especially Takuto ^^) Her drawings are really detailed and cute.
I couldn't help though get depressed sometimes when reading and end up crying in the sad parts. Mitsuki is such a troubled person for a 12 year old >< I dont ever remembering my life to be that troublesome, but I'm pretty easy going lol. Anyway by the end I felt so bad for Ecchi ( I didnt like him to start, I was routing for Takuto), his story was too sad T.T Though I felt the ending to be a bit empty, for me anyway, but i couldn't really see it go for longer then it did, but glad it was happy ^o^ I was glad there were characters like Johnathon and Izumi, funny =) they gave it some life to the story.^^ All the characters just worked well together.
Even though it was quite sad, it was also funny and cute ^^ I would reckonmend it to anyone who likes Arina's art/manga and anyone for a cute story. I really enjoyed this work, so give it a try =)

The plot is actually pretty good considering the fact that the story is targeted for 13-15 year olds. The main character takes on similar characteristics of all other female leads of Arina's manga. They keep a strong front, when they're weak inside. But I'd say Arina gives the best interpretation of this particular female lead's emotions. If you're looking for a cute story, this is the one I would suggest.
Because, let's face it, the manga that she's written after this one all suck.

Well Done

I was very skeptical about the manga, usually music/singing subjects in manga or comics are poorly done because of the lack of sound to help set the mood. But I am glad that at least they did it so music isn't the complete subject of this series, despite it playing a large role in the series. I also recommend watching the anime, though, it focuses more on the music, than the characters, but it does play out differently from the manga.

A Really Good Shoujo Work

After hearing so much about this series, I finally read it! And I'm glad I did. It's definitely a manga worth reading; it's very good. However, it's not my favorite Arina Tanemura work, nor one of my favorite shoujo manga series, either. I didn't really find myself "connecting" to Mitsuki throughout the series. I thought she was a bit too stubborn and simple-minded. I found the antics and back stories of the shinigami characters far more interesting. However, the overall story was very good, the artwork was lovely, and the pacing of the story was good. Not sure if this is one I'll re-read ever... but it's definitely not one I feel was a waste of time to read. If it seems like I'm a little on the fence with this one, that's because I am. There are a lot of better manga titles out there... but this is definitely a really good one, too.
