Ms. Aoshika is not only divorced, but an underappreciated teacher at her job. But one drunken mishap leads her to witness firsthand the brutal assault and murder of a young man. However, after fainting, she awakens to discover that all of the assailants have been seriously wounded.
And to her further surprise, the next day she discovers that not only is the young man, Akira, she met the night before alive, but he is now her new transfer student.

"Wolf Guy - Ookami no Monshou" is a modern adaptation of Wolf Guy (SAKAGUCHI Hisashi) in a more violent and sinister setting.

Trash. NO meaning. Gratuitous abuse of RAPE AS A PLOT DEVICE.
Rating: 3.0 / 10.0

...and the rape goes above and beyond Borderline H constraints by the last arc. Gangbangs, rape with inanimate objects, rape for dummies tips on the effect of electric shocks on vaginal muscle tension, triple penetrations, rivers of cum (!), hundreds of pages of penises (!!), forced drug use, mind break, etc. - that's just a preview of some of the gratuitous raep in there. And there's a loooot of it.

Not that there was a single example of healthy romance or intimacy in the whole damn thing, and that's out of a lot of sex shown...Forget the two, yes TWO, different people who like to kill their bedfellows for kicks (wait - three! - the third one just never got as far as bed), cuz there's even a scene of a girl forcing (!) a blowjob on a suffering and humiliated boy for no reason whatsoever. It makes zero sense and isn't necessary and the characters depicted don't even really tie into the plot, but the mangakas had the 'violated' boy thoroughly miserable from the experience, and seems like it was the whole point. WTF??!?!

Gratuitous sex, gratuitous violence, gratuitous sexual violence. Gratuitous gore. NO MEANING. Behind any of it.

PS and I wouldn't mind any of it, if it only served some sorta purpose. But it doesn't. For examples of:
* meaningful gore - see Gantz
* meaningful sex - Liar Paradox
* meaningful violence - why go far, Gantz again
* meaningful sexual violence - tough one, but doable... Mako (FUUGA) story 2: "Rooftop Scenery" [hentai warning... though actually MILDER and way more meaningful than this here crap]

PPS freakin LEARN how to make an antihero (and an opponent for said antihero) already, this is just pathetic... Even Hikikomori-san from NHK, complete with his sweatshirt saying "penis" in Russian, had more backbone, and the nemesis in his epic hallucinatory struggle against the friggin refrigerator and the masterminds behind it (the television) was less crazy than the one here. And that novel/series/manga franchise was about mental illness, for god's sake.

Mmmmk, this is all from memory from about 1-1.5 years ago

In the last few volumes, this degrades a lot because of the massive amount of sex (rape) scenes. And the fact that for so long it simply doesn't make sense. He's a werewolf, so he's invincible...but by his own admission, that's only when there's a full moon. When there is NO moon, how the hell does he do all that?
Also, it's kinda weird to have a bunch of 14 year olds running around, pulling this shit. They don't even look 14. If I took a volume of this to canada, I'd be fined for child porn on a technicality, thanks to that attempted seduction scene.
The last few volumes are good for action, but you need to turn your mind off. Your own choice whether you drop it there or not.
I want to rate the first part a 7 or 8, but the series as a whole suffers from that end.

Residentgrigo said everything for me... I totally forgot they were 14 years old, seriously. They look like 22-25 years old. The plot is sh*t, the wolf thing was sh*t, it was overly sexual - berserk I can take but Gantz and this, uhh no?

Art was good, I liked their expressions. I was even scared of the "main villain" of this manga. He was just crazy! This manga made me hate every character though... even the teacher? Yes, even her. Why would a teacher have a romantic-contact with a student? I find it disgusting (except in some cases)

i swear this was one of the most interesting stories i have read in a long while. although along the way i felt mentally exhausted and even had to stop reading at one point on threat of hurling i loved this so much.
in the beginning it was a bit dull sadly a bit amateurish the feeling of the characters really showed through
i personally have never even given a second thought to seinen mangas as i hate all the... crudity of it. but this had just enough emotion to nearly bring me to tears. at one point i was actually pleading for things not to happen that in the end did. it has been a long time since Iíve read a book that kept me this much on edge. the plot was far from predictable
unfortunately i can't give this a perfect ten for the vary fact of well the main characters breast and the art of the manga in general. while it fit the story in it disturbing way i have to deduct points for how distracting every thing was

The story of this grim and gritty reboot of an already grim 70s novel series is complete garbage from the very start from a writing standpoint didn´t become that later on like some reviewers here say. But what garbage it is!
Complete insanity starts in volume 1, but NO the team that brought you the shonen(?!?) action gem Akumetsu (8,5/10) had to go completely of the rails around Vol. 6 or so. Over-glorified school-shootings where an insane 14 year old tries to rape a girl with a shotgun? This manga has it! 200 pages of inhuman rape, no problem bro. There is also a Were-Ogre who is an afterproduct of rape too? Give it the Tezuka already!
So why do i "like" this misfire? Because i read it as a black comedy or as a parody of the nowadays popular motion to make everything "dark/mature" and over-sexualize it on top.
But if this Manga on the other hand was meant as a "serious" offering, oh boy. There is also the god-like art and only Berserk has more beautiful action scenes. The "crazy eyes" especially Yugo Yuuki drew here are beyond belief.
The only downside is that everyone looks at least 24 and not 14 like they are supposed to. 14 year old psychopathic Yakuza warlords, at that. Of course! It also looks like clear cut porn but isn´t this part of the "fun"?
So to sum up: As a comedy this manga is gold but if it is supposed to be taken seriously it is a war crime.
I further recommend Berserk, Gantz and Akumetsu for something similar but better.
Stay away from from it´s younger brother Shin Mazinger Zero as this team hooked up with Go Nagai there and the result is beyond words or sanity. The completely bonkers Battle Royale ran in the same magazine a decade prior and is pretty much the same manga with less aspects i can recommend so read it too i guess but deduct 1 point as the japanese version tried to be a real drama when it grew up and only the ingenious english translation is a true satire. 90´s Wolf Guy is complete trash btw. How fitting and i wait for the day when Ookamiotoko da yo finaly get´s unearthed form it´s shallow grave as it looks 11/10 crazy. New Remake when? WHEN!?!

Been following this from the day it started, apart from the violence rape blah blah, it was good in the beginning but dang, half way you'll be like, why am I reading this repetitive shit?
The plot doesn't expand, it keeps revolving around the same old thing, one or two volumes maybe but not the whole manga! Overall, I find the story very hazy, nothing spectacular.

I'd still recommend it for perverts (decent art though -.-)

awful peice of shit manga
after the end of volume 5 it just goes downhill
just as Meins say in his comment
the dues ex machina just ruins everything
[this sort of really idiotic and strange plotdevices seems to be common with this author and artist
all their manga suffer from this]
the artist should really stop working with the author...coz the drawings are atleast interesting

Great Art, Story gets bad after the middle part

Well, as said really great art. But the Story ...

At the beginning the story seams to be cool. Something over the edge, but it's a manga. Because the art is good and somewhat realistic you, well I, was fooled to believe that the story in this manga keeps to some common sense. That the reasons for specific actions of some characters in this manga can be explained by what have happened before and common sense. That not Deux Ex Machina is used.
This was my wrong conclusion, at the crucial points the story leave common sense and Deux Ex Machina is used. IMHO the use of Deux Ex Machina is the killing blow to any story, after this this is not a story but only stringing together events.
Of course the action is thrilling and the fights beautifully drawn. And if you like action, this manga is something for you. If you like great art, than this manga is something for you. If you like good plotted, consistent story, than this manga is NOT something for you.

In the end this manga is about a epic fight for the love of your live. Against a inhuman human opponent and his lackeys. And there is no real ending in this story. Yet the story has his dramaturgic climax. Because there is room left for a sequel.

I can not let it be and have to speak about the worst flaw (IMHO) in this manga:
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
THE main turning point in this story was as 10 assassins try to kill Dou and Inugami, in his human form, decides to observe this from above and not to interfere. In his inner monologue he despise the assassins notably and humans as a whole and don't want to be like them. He decides to let them kill each other. Dou kills 6 of the assassins (quite a inhuman feat) but after this Inugami kills the last 4 assassins in his werewolf form and show of in front of Dou and humiliate him.
As I was reading this I was thinking that this is out of character, that this is wrong. And there was no explanation why Inugami chose to do this, nothing at all. Inugami endured so much stating to the reader that he doesn't care what the ppl around him do as long they leave him alone. He doesn't show any anger as he was humiliated. Inugami try to hide the hard evidences about him being a werewolf so hard (everything else can be "explained" by some luck or really hard toughness). And yet he show himself as a werewolf in front of Dou and play whit him. If he was so angry about the assassins and kill the last 4, than he should be angry also at Dou and kill this murder too. Dou is a murder and inhuman sadist, there is not much difference between him and the assassins. After this Dou has lost his mind and is trying to kill Inugami.
There is nothing to explain this decision, only a lot of again this decision. It's like the whole Inugami character was raped by his creator and made him doing something atypical with out any need. This is a typical 'Deus Ex Machina' plot device and I disgust something like this.

There were some events or details which contradict common sense. But to discuss them here is to much. And some of them were mentioned all ready in other comments.

Some series are so tragic that you can't help but shed tears, some make you happy etc .This shows the talent of the author if he can make a story that rings out your emotions he's done his job.wolfguy does that it stirs our feelings even if it brings out disgust as well.lets face it we don't to see bad stuff happen to main characters and in manga we want the hero to save the day.In most cases even if the story boasts of realisim it falls short and becomes unrealistic . This manga showed all the ugliness that we ignore
