Read it because of Kaikan Phrase (BEST SMUT MANGA EVAR!!!) yet wad dissapointed by the idiocy of this protagonist. As if she didn't know that the pedophile of a manager was a creepy bum-rag, honestly. Too much not-needed sex, a jerk male lead, a pathetic girl with such a low brain-cell counts that it starts to approach negative numbers when measuring her IQ and a mediocre plot made me want to finish this manga quicker than I could put it down. Honestly, I only finished it because I was waiting for my precious Sakuya and Aine to show up with their children (especially the hot part about Sakuya being a Dad, hehehe... biggrin) Overall, do not read this if you want to continue to love Mayu's work, which I do smile

odd story hah? but there is some melting parts in there,
i love the seen where she calls him up just checking or randomly wondering what he was doing
and hes on the other line going "SEX!"
its actually pretty good, read IF U have a free time, but not a manga i would read again or anything.
thats it for the good side of it
i get the feeling shes a bitch, i hated how she keeps having sex with her manager and yet says she loves the main guy. I just find that part off, purely ridiculous.....

Honestly, I read this years ago before it became so popular and I thought it was what loads of manga today is: decent. It wasn't anything special to me and it still isn't. I agree with some that some of the scenes edged dangerously close to rape. The ending just pissed me off.

Making the person you love give up her dream so you can have her to yourself. Is that love?

... and I can't believe a woman would write this sexist beep*.

Sure, we all indulge in the fantasy of the cold, brooding male who hides a burning passion for the heroine but one who actually disrespects the hopes and dreams of his partner and uses everything in his power to tear down all she's worked for?

The man who does this should be kicked to the kerb. Most of Shinjo's works are filled with controlling, emotionally abusive rapists and I'm saddened that there is a market for this among young girls. Girls want romantic drama but this kind of toxic relationship is turning the the pages of female emancipation back a hundred years. I'm not sure if this an aspect of Japanese culture but I'd like to think women are not treated like chattels, even in fiction. I would just like shoujo heroines not to be weak snivelling stupid girls but be smart and strong yet retain their feminity. Elizabeth Bennett anyone? (Oops that was written more than a hundred years ago and therein lies the rub.)

Rant over, I'm giving a three because there were some moments of humour but that was not due to the main characters.

Nakazono Kirara is dumb, Hanamaki is a bastard - and if a girl allows men to treat her like that, then what's the chance of a good story or should I say who would care about what happens to her?! Sorry, this manga is rubbish. Aine from Kaikan Phrase is just a bit better (still stupid, but)!

Well, I just couldn't hold back after reading so many of these! And instead of being COMPLETELY biased based on the ‘s’ word, I’ll give it to you (the reader) as best as I can. I have heard a lot about Kaikan Phrase, which is a much better read plot wise, and I must say I truly do like Sakuya’s style, wit, and charm. But it takes a little more than a read or two to realize this story’s greatness.

If this book is in the category of drama, it should be! The amount of problems these two come across is ridiculous! But it’s to be expected… After all, a rich guy marrying a commoner? How many fairytales have we read that in before? So it is more than easy to see where one would get on the stand and preach its atrocity. And it’s never easy doing so. So, now. We have the common shoujo female bully, we have the oh so common harem appeal. (I mean, I’ve read a lot of shoujo and I’ve never seen so many bishies put toether in one shoujo in my life~! Well, maybe not NEVER, but you get my point)

But I must agree on a few things here and their… Yes, this book’s theme song, like a lot of other of Shinjou’s work is: “Let’s Talk About Sex” but this book was clearly written on the note of unrealistic, and first and foremost comedy. When you see all of those things you can’t help but think: ‘Well, damn!’ and, ‘Ooh, FAIL!’, and not to mention, ‘Oh my freaking gawd!!! I want to kill him!’, also ‘Awww..’, or ‘I want one!’ It’s just human, erm, girlie nature! Now, I tell this story a lot better than she does~ BUT! The element of surprise, yet predictability is still there. It’s a classic, unoriginal, comedic love story about two idiots who rushed into love. And the extra with Sakuya’s Production was priceless. I still laugh. (I laughed when I wrote this by the way…)

No girl in their right mind would want a love like this one; however, I don’t recommend men to read this story at all, even if they are homosexual. The practicality of love just isn’t there. It is in all of its greatness a funny, funny, funny story. But it’s not for everyone. You have to look for the little things to get the big things and you have to restore your mind to a teenager’s point of view. And if you are an adult, what the hell are you doing reading this anyway?! Go watch the news or something… Anyway… I absolutely adore Fujiwara, Ginzou’s oblivious nature and his horrible taste when it comes to love. I also love his innocence. And I read that Kirara was the innocent one which is definitely not in comparison with Gin’s because his innocence is totally pure and totally there. He’s a boy who was led astray by the sexual perversity that became his older brother figure… I suppose. But Kirara’s no saint. Saints do not own dirty manga… In any case, her overly dramatic weakness is probably Shinjou’s way of expressing the need for a weak, weak, weak female lead. We see it in all her works. From the Sexy Guardian, to Haou Airen, all the way to Sex=Love². (The last one is also a great read humor wise… Much like this one!)

Elvis and A TEENS told us fools rush in… This book, like a fool, one should definitely rush in. Because only then will you understand how this book is truly great. Not because of the fan service, or the constant rose petals in the back ground. Mayu Shinjou openly knows how to make you laugh. Whether it is in a ‘Well, damn!’ kind of way, or a ‘S***, that was funny!’. So, are you prepared for the comedy of the century? I don’t know. Whether you want to criticize it and laugh at how corny it is, or how unwell written the plot is, be my guest… But not a person!! Not one! Who has truly read it for what it is can argue the fact that this comic, err, manga is funny as hell!

Much to do about nothing~

The thing about this manga is that it's terrible. It really is. All of the characters are shallowly defined by one word apiece. Gin is sex. Kirara is weak. Hanamaki is... I don't know what he is. He flip-flops between jealous and bastardly.

But at the same time, I found myself laughing a lot while reading this. Partially at how bad it is... mostly at how bad it is. But until it gets ridiculously repetetive, if you can deal with the SEX (in caps for sheer amount), you may get a few laughs, too.

The only thing i actually liked was the ending, and how characters from her other work was included.

One character annoyed me at first which was the manager. but i ended up liking him. hmph! i also like how Gin is different with sakuya, from kaikan phrase. He respects him, not the way he is with others.
but sad to say i dont have mch great things to say about the whole storyline.

and the kaikan phrase featuring. thats probably one of my favourite part of the manga. i like the part that theyre still inlove. and with a son and another bby coming on the way. cliched i know, but hey it was one of the first mangas i read and loved at the same time.

Once again i have to agree with many commentors.
This is a great example of Shinjo's basic shoujo smut sxe rape love and happy ending in one big jabba the hut.
The beginning was okayy though it had smut from the start and so i just felt like it didnt have heart. The manager is such a freaky douchebag! I ended up liking him in the end but my first impression of him was u modafuka letting a young girl who wanaa be in business get sxe appeal? i knoe its her choice but damn u for providing lessons if needed!

continuing, like Shinjo's other mangas, she ends up falling in love (surprisingly he doesnt rape her GASP GASP!!) but he wants to fuk her badd like duhh. The hotel scene and jewels was wat touched my heart first and then the thing where she retires but then is with the other guy and she has a comback performance and gets back with her politician boyy hahah <3 that was cute.

So i wudnt say it was too bad.. I think the middle and ending part was more exciting to me, the beginning chapters where pretty cliched, gave the background of her life and the drama da dee daah.
I loved how Kaikan Phrase was twisted in and it was a good read too smile

If you take this piece more as a comedy than drama, you will really enjoy it. The plot goes from one place to the next, which won't make too much sense, but if you just go with the flow and if you don't dwell too much on the fact that nothing seems to be logically explained... it's actually pretty funny.
