This manga is to Macro Economics what Spice and Wolf is to Micro Economics.
It also has a political angel as the main characters have to deal with the major powers.
Juxtapositioned between these to main themes is Maou(Dark Lord/Lady) crushing on Yuusha(Hero) and some humor/lightheartedness with the Demon, and later Human, maids.

This manga is for those who like to think about the big picture of geopolitics and all that it encompasses in a fantasy environment, and not just the good-guy(s) takes-out the bad-guy(s), and everyone lives haply ever after.

First of all when I read the summary of this manga, (the release is still around ch 1-2), I interested in it. And try to read it, and... got confuse with the text, and all of economic thingy. Dropped it.
Then after some time, in a coincidence, I click this series again, and got surprised, why this kind of series (around ch 6-7) can get so many people read it (and with a good rating too). Got curious again.
So, I try to read it again (with a bit forcing it for ch 1). Well, it was paid off, I really was too fast to judge the manga, the series is really addicting, the economy thing that I thought is hard is explained here really easy and it's pretty common knowledge for us.
And the more I read it the series doesn't stuck in the relationship between the hero and demon queen like some other manga I know (but I still like it).

Reminded me of one of my most favorite series Spice and Wolf as most of you would notice. It's a type of plot you don't see that often in manga. I love medieval theme a lot and I somehow ended loving the economic aspect of it as well. Interaction between characters is executed well and is pretty cute sometimes(Isn't Maou just adorable? Even the Demon Girl ticks off my radar a little). But the economic plot isn't really for everyone to enjoy and you will ended up reading a wall of text at times.
I personally would like to give this manga a 10 just because it really falls into my personal preference and I don't mind a wall of text since I read it about 3 times from start to current translated chapter(Chapter 7). But the only reason I give it a 9 is because it isn't for everyone to enjoy. Wall of text, complicated plot that might bothers some readers.

But overall, a very good series if you're not scared away by the warning. xD

The drawings are really good I liked them from the beginning. The Characters are fine too ....
But in this manga there's just too much text - even with a relatively complex topic like economics etc. you should at least try to keep it short and simple. I had the same problem with Spice and Wolf, Death Note and Hunter X Hunter.

My Gosh ... the heroine is just too cute and adorable

Take the most basic fantasy / romance shounen manga out there, involving the demon lord and the hero. Add a realistic point of view involving economics. And you get the awesome manga that you are viewing right now. I havr seldom laughed as much as in the first chapter, and even though the following ones are less awesome they are still great and yuo get sucked in the story.

The art is good, the characters are good too ( I like how none of them have names, and are only designated by things like "hero" or "demon lord", this way you always know which one they are talking about even if you don't always pay great attention. )

Well basically it is the evolution of a good fantasy manga, so I give it a 10 because of the innovation.

OK, this is a first for me, i wouldt have imagined that someone could merge Financial Business Management and market flow along with charts used nowdays in the medieval era in a war between demons and humans no less lol, i was like, wtf im reading lol?, it was quite fun regardless and since im an Engineer i know this kind of stuff first hand XD, tough some things were a little exagerated =P

This reminds me of a sexier version of Wolf and Spice, except the woman has the knowledge and the means to use it. The comedy is quite nice, the characters are developing nicely and the art is a 9/10, only because it doesn't blow me away. Overall this manga is one that I will probably follow until the end, so for those who like demon vs. human story lines with economic facts thrown it will love it. All others will simply really enjoy it.

Rarely do you see these kind of series laying around. When the author tamper with the typical rpg by adding an economy to the story you get this. A hilarious, and well structure storyline, where the two opposing forces must join for the greater... uh...

This manga is pretty much like a cross between Spice and Wolf and a medieval wartime setting. It's very interesting because it gets deep into wartime economics and agriculture, while gradually developing a super-kawaii romance between the two main characters. Simply brilliant..
