A 26-year-old salaryman, Matsumaru Fumihiko, asked Miss Tanaka from his work to watch a movie with him, but she didn't show up at the movie theater. As he is about to throw away the ticket, a 20-year-old, rookie voice actress named Onda Aka asked for the ticket. The two of them end up watching the movie together.

On their way home they notice that they live near each other. That night, Aka's apartment burns down and Matsumaru offers his help. She ends up living with him, but they have to keep it a secret to keep their jobs. What will happen to this relationship that is more than friends but less than lovers?

It's quite an enjoyable to read. The character development is quite okay, and the arcs seems interesting. This will be a fun manga to read.

Now maybe I'm heartless or something, but I didn't find "that" event to be all that terrible, at least not in how I perceived Aka; it simply seems to be one of Aka's character flaws that she has trouble confronting things. It had come up before and it's come up again, though it always ended up working out.

Buuuut I digress. This is an enjoyable read, and it seems that volume 4 was just a mid-series slump of sorts. Long story arcs are where the series excels and it's finally getting back out of pointlessness and back into character drama. Certainly not flawless (the art is... let's say very "QUALITY" at times), but still great.

Yes... that one chapter... but wow, I really like the story other than that... it's a really nice romance story. But that one chapter changed my rating from a 10 down to a 9. Agh. I definitely recommend the series to anyone though. It can make you happy for the characters... and it can swing that completely into hatred for them. Also, the style of art is really nice on the covers... the artwork inside the manga isn't as great though.

It was a decent manga. Around a 7, but now it's just 5. I just can't shake that feeling. I'm dropping this manga.

I can't really recommend this manga. The main reason for me is that the Mangaka broke a basic rule - by making it too hard to identify with one of the main characters due to her actions. You can read others comments for the actions I'm referring to. Basically after this point in the manga, I stopped caring about the character, so the whole attraction of the story fell apart. I think the Mangaka needs to get out more to determine what is and what isn't OK in the real world.

I have seen the Anime first and I felt that it was pretty cute and gave me such a warm feeling, so I went to search for the Manga version. Everything was all nice until I reached the chapter which pissed off Emperorpogi [3 comments below] and many other people.

As of now, [vol4 chap29], there doesn't seem for anything which will justify that *grrrrrrr* chapter. Hopefully there would be a purpose for it, or else that blip will forever haunt my memories of this manga >_______<

[edit by mod,possible spoilers?]

"whoops, my house burned down a few hours ago. time to sleep with some near-stranger in exchange for rent"
a few days later...
"no! i'm not that kind of girl! i'm not as slutty as my previous actions would have you believe!"

i hate aka, yet the manga tries to push her as a protagonist. just doesn't work for me. i guess, excluding that little bit, it's a pretty standard romance story, but as the beginning (and later chapters as well) indicates, she's just not a good person.

i may change this if the story goes on... but as you read on it starts to make an impression that its good decent romance.. than it hits you in the face.

just one chapter, one chapter made this manga tick me of seriously..

i may change this if the story seems to go... 6 is a bit harsh but 7 is to generous..
