Wait, What was I reading?

...why is the story not making sense anymore?! I thought it was really good in the beginning but the story keeps on dragging on and on with people trying to kill each other, then that very person disappears all of a sudden, you know, somehow, it's making the story very complicated. I can keep track of the story in the beginning but now? I don't even know what the heck is going on anymore. Sara seems like an irritating character to me, why can't they just get rid of her? Not to forget that the translations seems a bit off and making me even more confused! Argh. I hope it gets better in the end!

Wait, what was THAT?! What exactly did Matsuri Hino just throw to us?! How could she end it like that?! Well although I am by no means, neither a zeki or yume fan, since I don't mind Yuuki ending up with either one of them but seriously, that last chapter was just...ugh. Not to mention that the throughout the whole story (literally, the WHOLE story), I believe nothing makes sense at all. No goals actually achieved, no explanations given and then tadaaa! Kaname just threw his heart away! And then Zap! Yuuki and Zero are together! And those two kids. Many people are debating whether the short haired one is a girl or a boy. Seriously Matsuri Hino sensei, why do you love to make things complicated for us as your fan and readers?! She can draw those male characters so well, so why not that poor kid?!!

I used to love VK a lot, going gaga over the story, I even bought the anime DvDs, re-playing it again and again but seems quite pointless after knowing the unsatisfying ending. Another reason for me to turn to yaoi manga, they're better and straight-forward with an ending that satisfies us.

I was obsessively in love with this manga - At first, a big fan. But now? Seriously? After the tension I felt up when I read this at first, the sensation was different than any of those shoujos I've read. Things messed up after the season 2 of the anime ended and continued in the manga. It'll be good if it's ended quickly. Don't prolong over something that actually has been really good, it makes things worsen. This story is getting complicated but the ending is already predictable.

I'm just disappointed.

Kaname and Zero, what kind of devil has gotten in both of yourselves? I can't get through Yuuki's idiocracy and so do Sara ( the most UNIMPORTANT character ever)

I LOVED this series. I couldn't wait for new releases, but now I'm extremely fed up by the whole thing. It was so captivating in the beginning that i would become so anxious at the thought of new releases, but NOW I want it to end. I mean where is this going right now. I think that it's been dragged out waay too long.

Don't get me wrong. The story line the characters and the art are all really fantastic. It takes your emotions on a roller coaster ride (a good thing) but the later chapters just seem so... forced. Just bring it to a conclusion already!!

I was captivated at first..but now, the later chapters..well I simply cannot understand the plotline, its too confusing, the story is developing either too fast, or too slow, the scenes arent that well connected, everytime i read the newest chapter its as its a totaly new story, with occuring characters..i'm annoyed at this manga, it was really sad that it should get a 6 rating.

At first, I was captivated by the story. It was the first vampire manga that I read and by far, the best. The plot is unique in its own way, and it focused on the main characters.

However, as the manga continues, the storyline gets complicated. Personally, I find it difficult to understand and catch up. The monthly update, makes it harder to understand. I'd have to reread the previous chapters to understand what the new chapter is going on about.

It also jumps from scenes to scenes keeping people in suspension and all the more complicated.

I do not find this manga bad, but I would be glad if the complications could clear up soon.

For now, i'll give it an 8

Im not really attracted to vampires and all that stuff, but after watching this anime and now reading the manga, I am amazed! The most beautiful character I have ever seen is Kaname. Good work, Hino, for creating something so gorgeous like him and the story altogether!

Honestly, I had high hopes with this manga in the first arc.
but after she became a vampire... I stopped reading it. for some reason, it suddenly became so BORING, and for some reason, the artwork DETERIORATED as well... sigh. I hope Hino will just end the series and start doing a new one. (I missed Hino's artwork, but I ain't gonna read this again)

Holding on to the 'old VK'

Read some comments about VK here as I thought that I couldn't be the only one that this have gotten from one of the best mangas I've read to something.. like this..

It was a fantastic manga at start. I fell very hard for the beautiful art and all the good-looking vampires. The story was a bit complicated but I thought that it would all turn out in a simple, good way.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Many of you thought that VK became boring after Yuki turned into a Vampire. For me, I thought it was even more exciting than ever.

But after that.. When they started to live together, I had high expectations. But No. Everything was going downhill. Kaname started to be a creep. Yuki was doing boring stuff all around. She seemed so passive in everything that was happening. She said that she cared about Kaname, but it didn't look like that. Neither that Kaname cared about her. And Zero's stuff did not catch my attention and everything is losing it's meaning.

VK has lost its plot. So everyone are just walking around, doing weird stuff. More mysteries are coming up and almost none of them are getting solved in my opinion.

I don't actually know why I keep reading the new chapters. I guess it is for the art. But I kinda lost hope about that it's getting better. Since the whole manga is pretty depressive; why would it be a happy ending?

But because of my deep 'love' for the early VK, I can't rate it lower than 10. Even if it's not near 10 right now.

First arc. Nice. Second arc. Nicer.

To be honest, I like the second arc. A lot.
Things got revealed - but yet, there are more secrets hidden in the twilight, having the mangaka giving a piece after a piece... I am also comfortable with the changed drawing style - since it's not that much shojo-fluff as it was in the first arc. (Maybe I am getting too old. wink )

Complaining about angsty and depressing, boring things - nope. The plot gets a bit slowed, but on the other hand it is a bit more psychological inbetween - until it gets faster again with another "enemy" showing up.

So for me it's the same with the first arc. Nice and lovely things to see, having someone acting from the background, Zeros twisted personality, Yuukis insecureties, Kanames intentions. Sweet and dark. smile

Since I like a slightly dark atmosphere, twisted characters, the whole-trust-betrayal-topic and guessing what Kaname is up to... I keep on reading. And reading. wink

/Read: 77.

sorry, but I had to say that I lost interest to read after the chapter after
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Yuki turned into vampire by Kaname. worst at all, She is originally a vampire to begin with, not even a human. not that I care but it would be better if it was human and vampire love relationship.
now, what really make me sad and frustrated is Yuki is not like her usual self anymore, being gloomy, dark, serious about her duty and at certain point, her best friend, Sayori/Yori seems to be forgotten. it was Yori who always look for Yuki, even knowing the danger. I like the friendship portrayed by Yori to Yuki. but I might stop read VK now and look to another one that less dark.
