Description
Hye-sung spent his entire life believing he was an Alpha, the top of the genetic lottery. But his world is flipped upside down when he finds out he isn't an Alpha, but a lowly Omega. After this revelation, he continuously crosses paths with Dojin, an Alpha who can't stand Omegas. Some of you people in the comments are really pushing my buttons. You say that Hye-sung is entitled and selfish? He had EVERY right to do what he did! He was practically r*ped by Dojin literal days after he found out he was an omega, and was impregnated, and then forced to have a child he didn’t even want in the first place. He didn’t love Dojin at first, and was just having Byul because of the contract. You people really piss me off. Hye-sung was forced to have Byul, and even if he loves Dojin and Byul now, that doesn’t give you people the right to disregard his feelings like that. You people are just angry that the omega didn’t get r*ped once and instantly falls in love with the alpha. Are you going to call a real life woman selfish and entitled for getting r*ped and impregnated and forced to have a child? You people have gotten to the point where you only care about fetishizing mlm relationships that you don’t care about what happens to them, only that you get your sex scenes in. You lot are disgusting, and I hope you realize just how f*cked up your mindset is if you found Hye-sung annoying and selfish.

I love main couple in this manhwa tbh, maybe people have different opinion but to me, i understand why the uke act like that like he have a past like that.. and he live with Alpha and he got pregnant with the person he dont love(?) also his pride was shattered because suddenly he become a omega (?) .. yea maybe he is annoying but i still like him tho.. lolol i read comic(manga, manhwa,hua, western) since i was even cannot read bcs my bro and sis is otaku, and basically i learn to read from manga lol so because i alread read so so many things, i think i found so many annoying chara already. and i think Hyesung not that annoying.. yea maybe i feel bad for Dojin but.. people already forgive Heesu when Heesu want to separate Hyesung and His baby.. but why people not forgive Hyesung already?
Well, there is no way to disagree with the comments below. The uke is annoying, ungreatful and generaly difficult to "watch" and the seme did change from a cold bastard to a lapdog. Nonetheless, I think the story gets better later on and is quite enjoyable. It also has a good ending, finishing basically every plot line and giving enough of smut and side stories to be satisified, which other yaoi webtoons I have been reading lately had problems with acomplishing.
I think the mangaka had a hard time showing the reasons for the uke's behaviour and this is why he comes of as an annoying brat.
Don't get me wrong, Hye-sung was still annoying the hell out of me but I can undestand why he acted like this, so I was enjoying the story anyway.
I just refuse to accept that this is the same couple as Hye-sung and Dojun in If You Hate Me So. Alternative universe or whatever, this is just a no. The Hye-sung from that IYHMS deserves better.

Honestly, when we learn about his past and how basicaly very single person in his life was abandoning him or using him (apart from the one friend who was too dense to help - I mean he didn't really react to his roommate tring to rape Hye-sung in his sleep), it gets quite obvious why he cannot act normal. He didn't even have one day to think through all the things that has happend in his life and was thrown into a situation without a way out. No wonder he tries to escape and loses it from time to time, there has been just too many things falling on his head. He shouts and runs away not to cry and get terryfied of everyone around. In a way he's really strong to go with this all head on. He doesn't treat Doujin well because he doesn't believe in him nor in his feelings. And he doesn't want them. He doesn't know what love is, yet he knows when he gets too far with his silly requests. He's just taking the best out of the situation he's in because he know the good things will end. He's constantly prepared to run or to be hit or cursed and yet he just takes it as normal (we can see this when he meets Dojun's family, he thinks they're nice even though they have throw them out). The only thing he can do is shout, which is annoying but at least he's not crying all the time. And he tries to get out of the situation, with the part time job, cleaning, contract- any way so he can have a bit of control of his own life. And then when he thinks of seeing the baby and getting closer, he hears that everything was a lie and if he doesn't agree with Dojun, he will just be forced to obey, since he's an omega. Even when he gets back, Dojun never actually tells him how he feels, all the time he just uses everthing else to make him stay.

I think lots of the readers don't like the uke, but I still love him. I know why he acted like that, a young boy has to pregnant at the age of 20, If I were in that situation, I would also panic and run away because I don't understand the importance of children, moreover this pregnancy is an accident. As for the uke's rejection of the seme's proposal, in a certain chapter, before leaving the uke said something instead of refusing, that scene was also visible, the seme's family is looking out from the window so he seems confused. Anyway I just want to say that I love himmmm (most readers hate the uke for this so I just analyze it)

I had heard a lot about this story before and decided to give it a try. The other comments are right that Hyesung was annoying and overall unlikeable for a lot of the story, but he does try to redeem himself later on. It's a series that gets better in the latter half of the plot, you just have to push through it.

I don't get why so many people find the uke insufferable when it's the seme who has raped him multiple times then coerced him into keeping the baby when he was clearly not ready to be a parent. But it's all framed in a positive light because they love each other in the end and they have a cute baby...
I just don't get why this title is so popular and often recommended as a "good omegaverse" when there are plenty of other titles that truly are.

Love is Illusion is one of my fave omegaverse too. I especially adore side couples besides the main is also precious to me, but sometimes, I just can't handle the level of hye-sung being tsundere. I just can't understand what is going on inside your head. Just come around already. You have the best life and I know you're enjoying this, so it's okay to show some feelings. Idk why I'm complaining abt it in here, I guess I've been holding them for so long and that's it.
Ok, so I have not finished the series yet (70+ chapters) however:
If the Omega protagonist (Hye-sung) is getting on your nerves right now in the first few chapters, don't be discouraged and don't drop the series yet! His personality gets so much better (and cuter) in the latter half of the story (mostly starting in the side stories, which starts very early on).
The story is cute, there is drama, but I really enjoy the writing and the characters. I enjoyed the art too! Which was surprising because I felt that the sudden drastic change of art was jarring in her previous work (not that the change of art was bad, but she had a cool different art style. If you remember how the original Hye-sung looked like...and his personality....then you know what I mean!!! . She really Uke'd him artstyle wise.
I read If You Hate Me so first, and could not stand these two in that series (skimmed their relationship, felt awkward), but in this Omegaverse I love them. Hye-sung is more fleshed out, and he redeems himself. The relationship is a bit dubious especially at first.....however it does get better. I love Dojin's personality...how he is loving and loyal towards Hye-sung and very patient...I am glad both of them were not assholes, Hye-Sung was enough oof.
I thought at first what was the author thinking re-using the same characters from her previous work (the third couple from If you Hate Me So) but gave her reason that she thought it would be a waste to let them go (something along those lines) and actually I agree with her now. Their personalities are such a contrast but story wise their development is great.
I really enjoy the second couple too (Master.....). However, the third couple does not interest me whatsoever (the beta is cute though).

Some things left me kind of going hmmm?? for example, Dojin being in a band, but his family being RICH AS HELL. I am sure this stayed like this instead of him starting a company like his brother or running a mall like his sister because in the Author's previous story he was into music too, but had a normal job.
About Hye-sung redeeming himself: I liked how the author gave him character development and he was less of an asshole in the side stories. Hye-sung REALIZED what he did leaving them behind and how much of an asshole he was to Dojin (however, Hye-sung was 20?, and honestly even with a shitty personality that he had it's a bit too much Dojin wanting Hye-sung to keep the baby but Hye-sung not wanting to...and then this made Hye-sung decide that he is okay with having the baby but that he wants money and no attachment to the baby whatsoever....) but I am happy that they are happy together now!
Dojin's family: I'm glad the author kept it VERY lighthearted and non-drama when it was time for Dojin to tell his family that he had a child and especially with an Omega. I think the author wanted the latter half of the story to be more light hearted....and not having Hye-sung and Dojin to suffer anymore HAHAHA.
Also I loved how Hye-sung was the one who wanted Dojin to be on good terms with Dojin's family so Hye-sung went over first for them to be on better terms and brought baby Byul aaaaaaa
