From Manga Abyss:
Hotaru managed to get in the same high school where Haruna-sensei teaches to see him again! However, on her first day there, she meets a very unpleasant guy who looks just like her beloved sensei...?
4 Volumes (Complete)

Typical, boring, predictable... the only thing that kept me reading until I gave up on chapter 3 is the male lead, Kousuke, but I think I was hoping for the impossible. The characters are flat thusfar, and the heroine is one of the most... She's a terrible heroine with no redeeming qualities. She seems like one of those shoujo girl types who trip a lot, are clumsy, tear easily, etc. Sigh~ extremely boring, my eye was twitching every two pages. The art style is fine for the most part, clean lines and all, except I really despise the heroine's eyes; so large, so shoujo-ish, are they supposed to telegraph her 'innocent' and 'lovable' nature?
The art style is not distinct and the expressions have no effect. the plot is typical, and the characters have no depth. A teenager could have written this on fanfiction.
Rated 3 because the artist deserves some credit for putting in the effort to rehash the same crude out there.
I stopped after 15 pages, including the cover, of the first chapter. I gave it a try because many people complimented the drawing, and after all, I think I am a person who can stick to a series just because of the art style. However, I was very disappointed. The drawing is not bad, yet it is a very stereotypical way of drawing manga: girls with HUGE, shining eyes that look fake and show little emotion, guys with pointy chins (imo, the guys were drawn a little better but still not in a very manly way)...
May be I am too harsh? I will leave it up to you to decide. But, personally, when hearing about good art, I will think about something more like drawing styles of Maruya Kae, Hinako Takanaga, or Mamahara Ellie, which are way more unique and distinguish the mangakas well. Well, if there is anything that might save the drawing style of this manga, then it is the chibi images.
Ratings:
Plot: N/A (not patient enough to read more than 15 pages)
Art: 7.5/10 (not good, not bad, typical, the .5 is for the chibi drawings)
When I first started reading this, I was still 12 or 13. It completely appealed to me (so did all the other mangas this mangaka did) but now, to be honest, it's kind of bad.
Cliches everywhere. I hate how they get together so fast.
She's boring. He's boring. The end.
Art is good I guess. I used to worship the art that Aikawa Saki does but now, it's just overly shoujo for me. All her characters look the same, that's what I'm saying.
If you want an interesting story, this is not the manga for you.
this is shoujo manga
it is extremely predictable but i love it
the characters are cute and likeable, especially the Haruna brothers
i cant help but swoon when they're there ^/////^
the heroine does cry quite a bit, but it definitely could be worse
and its soooo cute, you just cant help but continue reading cause everything's so cute
especially when Kousuke is trying to get Hotaru to forgive him :3
but if you're looking for something original dont bother reading this
There isn't much to complain, the story is as expected for a shoujo, while the characters are dynamic with their own idiosyncrasies. I keep hoping for more interplay between Haruna-sensei and Hotaru, espically since Kousuke keeps putting the needs of his ex-girlfriend ahead of Hotaru....
I thought this was really great! I love how the story is going. I thought the male characters had a refreshingly nice personality, and the art was the really nice. I like how the story is cute yet still serious, it reminds me a lot like "Girl Got Game"
My only qualm at all about this is it kind of focuses on the relathionship drama too much, and Hotaru could stand to be a little less inoccent... But I still think it has a lot of charm. Oh well, to each their own, huh?
I saw the art of the cover and was happy to find such bishie art. But then you read the story. Too fast paced. The characters are bland. The main character has no personality. NO ORIGINALITY WHAT SO EVER. No comedy, no doki doki moments, no smut, it lacks EVERYTHING. It's like a twelve year old with the hand of god decided to make a manga. Yes, the art is good. Proportional etc. BUT THE STORY IS SH*T. (Lol, am I allowed to cuss on here?)
At first I really enjoyed this manga, but after reading the latest chapters it's getting stupid. I hate the female characters who try to sabotage her ex's relationship using cheap and dirty tricks. I don't like heroines who are full of mistrust and suspicion, and can't even stand up for herself. I hate male leads who refuse to explain things in detail so that they won't be misunderstood. Is it that hard to say that you heard your ex-girlfriend was abducted so you went to save her? And if your girlfriend got mad at you for that, she can find someone else if she gets jealous over you being a good enough person to save someone from being held hostage. And the heroine keeps fluctuating between two guys. Make your freaking decision. Don't be a hussy.
In short, the recent chapters really pissed me off and it sucked big time. I didn't even realize how bad this manga was until now. None of the characters are likeable at all, and the plot is way overused. I would not recommend this manga at all!
I wonder why mangaka's always have characters like this. Maybe to show the guys strengths? To zoom in on them by making the heroine flawed?
When you think about it, it's easier that way.
Stupid girl with weak resolve + strong minded guy with strong resolve is possibly the easiest route in shoujo manga, and while its good for one shots, it doesn't really work for ongoing shoujo's.
Kinnda how after you laugh at something funny the first time, its not really funny anymore the 5th time.
The heroines flaws are shoved in your face every single chapter, while the main guy's strengths are thrown in to cover them. That's exactly what every cliche shoujo is with characters of this type. I quit after the classic (CLICHE CLICHE CLICHE) dumbass rapid fan girls showed up.
