I've seen several shoujo mangas that are written like this and I have been bearing it for a long time now. Seriously, what is wrong with the translations? I can't even understand it! There aren't much convention errors and there's really nothing to complain about the art (besides how their noses are drawn in side views) but---ARG!!! I am soooo frustrated right now, so excuse me if my words may seem rather confusing.
(what actually triggered my bad mood first was probably because I wasted my time watching this stupid movie which just spitted out nothing but nonsense and the plot doesn't even HAVE a purpose, adding the fact that it's so cloudy and soaky today outside, and my brother's BLABBERING attempt on reexplaining what the fuck just happened to the movie, however, his words were just full of "its", "they" and "because" using non-specific terms! thus I am here today hoping that reading some manga would calm my frustrations back to at least 30%, but unfortunately, I made a wrong decision since reading this manga further increased my anger instead of doing the other way around.)
Anyway, that's how I got to this current mood. But enough of my blabberings and back to the story. As much as I don't want to waste my precious time complaining some shit-talk here, I just HAD to say this out loud to y'all people:
WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THE DIALOGUES?!?!!
So I read this manga in mangafox and here's an example of how the main girl talk:
"C...Could it be...I...with Kagura...already...?", and "Just now when he spoke...was it because of me...? Is it really like that...?", and "Just now this matter...", or "I was the only with such a hot-head."
Okay, can ANYBODY understand now my fucking point? It's not about understanding what they mean (of course I know what they are trying to say! D:<). What I am pissed at the most were the tones and the INCOMPLETE sentences as well as the grammar errors! Just listen to the last line I mentioned: "I was the only with such a hot-head" It's found on chapter 1 page 44, mangafox website. It makes me feel that the authors are just wasting their time writing some of those types of dialogues because it CLEARLY has no point in being said! DX
In addition, I am fucking tired with the constant "(OMFG) How can this happen?", or "What do you mean blah blah blah...?", or "What should I do?", "Could it be that he wants to kiss me again?" or the never-ending, OVERUSED "Why is my heart beating so fast?" THE HELL WITH YOUR MESSED-UP HEART!!! The reason why your heart is beating so fast is because you have a heart tumor! DUH!! Jesus...Most of the questions they ask are so obvious or just repeating something that is already said or done to the point where it became super ANNOYING!!! I mean--COME ON!! And the heroine's lines in this manga always usually include "even though", "even if", "even" craps SO REPETITIVELY. WTF!!!!!!!! GAHH!!!!
I don't know if it's the mangaka's fault for being so darn stupid, or the english translator for being so darn bad in english. Nevertheless, I can't help but think that I can write way better dialogues than that!!!!
deep breath... Gaining my seft-awareness back in 3...2...1...
Oh, the joy of thinking, "If only I can speak, understand, and write Jappanese...the manga scrips or the character discussion would've had cooler, deeper, and non-cliche/cheesy/dorky lines." I'm sorry if I offended translators or mangakas out there who had never done the same thing. Personally, I am very thankful that you guys show us your awesome work and effort. It's just me involuntarily becoming so like those perfectionists who only see the negative sides of people's work and providing major critiques instead of complements. I guess it's because I've read too many mangas nowadays that the turn-offs of these graphic novels are gradually becoming clearer to see. If I am an amateur manga reader, then MAYBE I would've thought mangas with cheezy, OVERUSED lines are PERFECT.
