as of ch 46, it's a not bad start with appropriate pacing, in regards to the MC entering the setting of nobility and beginning to find allies or enemies. the added flashback moments to events from previous chapters as context for MC's decisions are also a great touch. however, around late chapter 30 the series began using what I can only describe as kdrama narration, where characters will recall the events of the chapter and build suspense for the next. assuming the chapters have a weekly release, I feel this is a cheap gimmick that ruins its readability as a comic. it has not set itself apart from other comics in the same genre either by character or in art style yet either. hoping things change with future releases.

So I read 13 chapters on the Tapas app and had to stop... because of Hilde. Her headstrong, tempermental personality and entitled, over-eager actions were rubbing me the wrong way.

That being said, it seems like the potential ML will be the deciding factor for whether most enjoy this story or not. Nearly every single chapter I read had at least one comment chain arguing about him.

From one viewpoint, he's a jerk. He's blunt and not hesitant to tell her exactly what he thinks-- which is usually that she won't be happy and that she shouldn't go ahead with her plans to join the Arpeggio family because they won't be what she hopes for. It was very discouraging for someone who wants to change their lot in life.

From the other viewpoint, he's honest... too honest. He's blunt and not hesitant to tell her exactly what he thinks... because the members of her family are trash and there's a reason her mother ran away from them. I'm of this opinion. He verbally tries to presuade her otherwise but never tries to block her chances of success by actively assisting her in any way he is allowed.

If you think you might agree with the former opinion, don't bother with this one. Personally, I like the ML as is.
