Bondz got me speechless. No matter how many times I re-read it I'd still tear up. Reading this manga was like watching Titanic after having watched it so many times. What I mean is, don't you start crying right when Jack was about to enter the ship? For those that did, ever wonder why? Cause you know that going in that ship will change his life forever..and in your mind you're screaming "Noooo! dont get in that ship!" Well same thing goes for bondz..for me,

the "entering the ship" incident would quite recemble the "piercing" part in Bondz. But with this, you'll start crying cause you know that the abstinence that they're about to take would deepen their relationship which later caused Tomo to run away cause he was afraid.
Ahhh, so many things I want to point out. It's such a fabulous one-shot and the way the mangaka ended it was just priceless..I mean, THE BEST really. Read this over and over and you'll never regret. Beautiful story. Beautiful art. Hearthfelt words. Just amazing... Last updated on December 12th, 2010, 12:47am

I LOVE the first story of this manga. It made me fall in love with Kawai Touko's work because she was able to use just a few simple scenes to portray such an intense, desperate relationship.
The story really lets you get a feel of abruptly falling in and out of love/lust. What I love most, though, is the ending. The last chapter of this story is very short, but completely unforgettable because those few pages are powerful enough to tie everything together. I just love it <3

Bond(z) is my fave of them. It's a story that can stand on its own without the others. The others were also good that fits the title but they brought down my ratings. A must read from CUT and Ano Kado wo Magatta Tokoro mangaka
Also, the first story is my favorite seme's and uke's hairstyle and aura.

I was going to write that Bondz is my favourite story of the volume, because it is a painful story of hurt hearts that moves you with its sweetness. But then I thought that all of the other stories fit this description too!!
They all move you, the pain the characters feel hurts you but their love is dazzling.
Not many sex scenes but it's perfect like this because it is the emotions that make this volume special.

The oneshots in this collection are a bit of a mixed bag in terms of theme and content. "Fairy Garden" is ultra cute, while the title story, "Bond(z)" is fairly intense. So depending on your mood, this isn't a volume you can pick up and read all the way through--you'll want to pick and choose depending on your mood. It's not exactly the mangaka's fault--she had a collection of oneshots and then had them published in a book, lots of mangakas do that, but personally, I prefer the stories to be a little more thematically related--y'know, a whole book of horror oneshots, fluffy love stories, comedies, etc.
Setting that aside, individually, all the stories are very solid. "Bond(z)" is an interesting look at an intense, obessive relationship, the kind that both people know will eventually burn out. Of all the stories, "Situation" is my least favorite because of how closeted the seme is (despite the uke doing everything he can to make him admit his feelings). The seme comes off as rather mean, and even at the end, I still couldn't bring myself to like him. "Fairy Garden" is utterly sweet and works very well as a modern-day yaoi fairy tale without ever becoming overly setimental or unbearably cute. Finally, "Sakura" is my favorite story out of the bunch as it deftly portrays two people's awakenings: Ren's awakening to the possibilities that life has to offer, and Yuichi's awakening to caring for someone else. Very nice stories all-around. ^_^

wow. I have to say that this is one of the cuter and sweeter ones I've read so far. Its such a big difference from all the cliche stories I've been reading nowadays, just as expected from the amazing Kawai-sensei ^^

I've seriously read this story over and over Kawai-sensei surprises me once again with her amazing expressions, art, and characters. The plot almost sounds like a PWP, but really, just read it and judge that for yourself. That was another thing Kawai-sensei surprised me with
I just wish that the translation 801 Media did, did Kawai-sensei's beautiful story justice :/
