The only reason I found out about this completely incognito and underrated series is that I saw this title come up on some "best of" lists (and these in and of itself were obscure lists!). I didn't think much of it when I read the synopsis....hmm seems whimsical? I gave it a whirl, and wow. I was completely blown away by the fantastical medieval world that I was sucked into in just a few short books. This was one of the most unexpected pleasant surprises I've read in the last couple years, to say the least. Unexpected, because the art is very pencil-y and sketchy, and well, I didn't expect much from the story, especially given how truncated this series seemed to be. Well, I was completely wrong and I just adore this series. I would love for Meiji-sensei to come up with a similar series...I think she has a couple irregular-series going right now but not sure anything is similar to this work (major sadface!).

I know this may not "seem" to be your cup of tea, but if you're on the fence, please give it a go! Totally a 10+++ for sure.

The first chapter sold it well; I was bought after the second. Yup... I need more.

This is surprisingly very good and extremely refreshing. The art may be a little edgy, but it's different. This story definitely draws you in and grows on you. I'm in like already. Try it.
