The wolf story was lacking any sort of connection... It had the love sense but where was the crazy story behind him? .. The vampire story is a joke.. I love myself a vampire story but this was just baadd.. Not a fan of the artistry.

Rushed beginning. Girl is just too gullible.. Doesn't have any sense of smarts to her.
Artistry pretty bad. Side story: boring

a slutty girl gets saved by a big wolf. She takes the wolf in and finds out almost instantly that he is a werewolf. Instead of asking questions she just excepts that he is a werewolf and he sleeps with her on the spot!! Wtf?!?! Then she decides to go on dates with another guy... which he scares away.. I've never been to Japan but I swear almost every manga has some random dudes hitting on a girl... It's not original at all. They just keep going through 4 chapters with him being treated like a dog and them having sex. End was pretty much just that.
Side story: an anorexic girl finds her crush with he friend, but her crush gets attacked by a vampire.. She decides she wants to dies but by him so he argeees to make her healthy so she can be sucked dry. She becomes better looking and her ex wants her. But he gets in the way and the crush knowing what the vampire looks like attacks him. ( I guess everyone knows about vampires in this story?). The vampire attacks him and he then sucks her blood but she doesn't want to die anymore. Happily ever after..

It's rushed, has very awkward moments when Yato wants to do it was a wolf and

I found it disturbing that she caught Yato with the doctor kissing and Yato then even says "I won't deny what happened but..." yeah...great.

Well, the art is alright but the story isn't that great. It's very shallow and there's no depth. I'd prefer it to be longer and taking some time to develop, taking some time before they jump into a relationship, etc.
The humor is okay but awkward at times and there's no real smut either.
I'd rather read a manga that is good at at least one of these things over something that is a mediocre mix.
I'd only recommend this if you are a fan of the mangaka or if you really like werewolves or general animals transforming into sexy men.

So I will cut her some slack because she comes up with much more interesting characters and dialogue later on, like in Midnight Secretary. This being said, the female lead in the wolf story was too simpering and weak for me--not enough fire so I pretty much yawned my way through that.

I preferred the vampire story so much more, which is a shame because it only lasted for one chapter versus the dragging 4 chapter wolf story.

I absolutely loooooove Ohmi Tomu's style of drawing with those beautiful eyes and lashes--so pretty 🙂 buuuuuut I have to say I preferred her more developed style in Midnight Secretary.

...in another review, I said I really liked this author, but I kind of take it back. This was so bad it was hilarious, kind of like watching a B-grade movie. I kept laughing at all the cheesy lines. Only read it if you're into that.

Second time I read this. Last time was like 2 years ago, but since I want to read its sequels I re-read this one.

Something nice to pass time with.

The art of the wolf is very pretty and also quite amusing as simple comic style (since it isn't really SD or chibi I don't know how else to name it).

Story and development is normal romantic shoujo stuff of the old days (no exaggerated dramas or serious problems). The heroine is your common victim role (that has to get rescued by her lover etc. you know). Her older brother with sister complex is amusing too. The wolf and human named Yato anyway.

A common shoujo, neither bad, nor oustanding. But as I said, something nice to pass time.

i still dont understand why he was kissing that other woman, and why in the world the heroine stayed with him. who wants to hear that your boyfriend was thinking of you while kissing another girl. its still cheating, i dont care if he was doing it as a favor. that ruined the story for me...

it was really sweeeeet!!~ even though i dont like the main charactyer so much she is one of those dumb and innocent types... i cant help but sigh...but the story and yato's uber bishieliciousness makes up for it!!! waaaaaaaih!!!!~

also the extra story...i like the plot..i think that if it were one volume long i would like it better than this one...<fufufufufu sorry yato!!!>...i mean the heroine is determined about something even though that thing is about dying...also the guy fell for her first not just her chasing after him...

Definitely one of my favorite manga series of all time. Yato is the god of sexy werewolves and the play between him and Hisako is at times quite funny and at other times, incredibly sweet.
