Description

At an all-girls school during the Taisho era of Japan, rumors swirl that heiress Sayaka Yoshimura is having a forbidden love affair with her chauffeur, Shinobu Narutaki! Sayaka scoffs at the rumors, but could a romance between master and servant actually be brewing?

Note: Volume 1 contains the short story "Ruka to Touzoku" (Luca and the Bandit) and the bonus story "Yonenmae no Chikai" (The Promise from Four Years Ago). Volume 2 contains the bonus story "Tsunagu Kizuna" (The Ties That Bind).

Poorly executed.

I'm surprised this series have a high rating.

The circumstances involving social class are played too dramatically to the point you would think that everyone are 10 year-olds.

The characters are too plain.To be honest, the portrayal of the male mc is executed poorly, such as when the guy goes out of his way to help his "mistress." I know this is suppose to set up his "love" for her but it just ends up as him looking like an idiot with low IQ because there are better ways for him to do what he did.

The female mc is too sheltered and doesn't develop well, as she is always constantly being protected by her chauffeur and doesn't learn from her mistakes. Every chapter just repeats the same thing over and over...Does she not learn anything from the previous incident??

Also, every chapter spends 3-5 pages on recap. Seriously, one page of recap is enough. We don't need more than 3-5 pages of recap. Jesus what a waste of page count.

Not surprisingly this series didn't last more than 2 volumes.

The flow was good and Sayaka wasn't the overly weak-willed girl that can't do anything. The storyline itself was interesting and very enjoyable as a whole. The artwork was also lovely 🙂

Very cute. At times I was thinking to myself, 'Just grab the damn girl and kiss her already.' Though, I can attribute that thought to being intensely interested in the manga. I would certainly say that the amount of chapters was perfect-- not too fast, not too slow, and interesting all the while. Normally I don't read manga less than 20 chapters (I can't stand "character death," good characters short manga), but this one surprised me and opened me up to other possible candidates.

It was something quick to read but had enough substance to be entertaining too. I liked it. There was plenty of romance but Sayaka wasn't one of those silly girls that just fall in love easily.

I love this manga.

Forbidden love story always gets me everytime!! The ups and downs keep me on edge. It was a very romantic, uplifting story. Some scenes make me a bit emotional on a giddy fan girl sort of way. It's pretty predictable. There was one or two big surprises, but that's ok since it's a nice short manga anyways (2 volumes?). I liked it a lot.

The art is simply beautiful. I don't think there's anything unique about it, but its still really pretty. Clean lines, nice curve, good hair, pretty clothes,.... Nice art to look at, which is a given for any manga I read, actually.

I recommend it for anyone into romance, age gap, class gap, master-servant (non sexual) relationship, historical (-ish, since the story didn't focus too much on that aside from stuffy rules and social etiquette), beautiful shoujo lead, and really handsome, protective, and a bit mischievous male lead.

I'm just giddy with joy. Though this was a short series, it was really enjoyable. I loved their story. It was funny and sweet and so cute. The extra at the end was also really cut. really made me lol (hahaha)

I thought that Sayaka's and Shinobu's relationship was really adorable. There wasn't really any romance in it, but you kept wanting there to be.The art is also really good, both Sayaka and Shinobu were really cute (no wonder they were drawn to each other)

Nice and straightforward romance. Forbidden love between a master and a servant is always pretty heart-throbbing, no? Not to mention the artwork is really beautiful, and Narutaki is such a bishie <3
My favourite character is actually Miss Kazuko. Tsundere ftw!

Only issue with this series is the scanlator's PDF files. I know most scanlators don't like their manga being uploaded on other manga sites, but being so exclusive annoys me the same way massive watermarks do.
