Ai Otaru works at an apparel shop and finds meaning in her life in supporting her favorite idol, Shun Oji, an underground pop star. However, one day, Shun's group announces they are breaking up! Their agency has also moved without a trace! Heartbroken, Ai happens to learn that Shun has become a "rental boyfriend," a paid-for service where people can date men of their choice.
