Description

Linley is a young noble of a declining, once-powerful clan which once dominated the world. He has large aspirations and wants to save his clan. Linley's journey begins with an accident when he discovers a ring. He took a liking to this ring, which had a dragon carved coiling around it. Upon being injured during a battle between two powerful fighters he discovers that his ring is not what he thought it was and possesses powers beyond his imagination.

read as separated story from LN

if you ever read the LN you will know there are many differences like plot, char or whatever
but keep it in mind like doulu dalu, which LN is more darker but manga is more comedical

i dunno which way this manga will bring the story like, cheerful like doulu dalu or more comedical like BTTH...

it's fun to see the manga like different entity like LN, since well more of it will bring you down if you compare it...

as for now, it quite good despite the difference

Are you guys really so incapable of giving impartial judgement?

While I agree that the series isn't top-notch, it definitely doesn't deserve all these 1s...
I really don't understand why you'd all (well most of you) go out of your way to ruin its rating simply because you think the LN is much better...
Wouldn't it be simpler to think of it as a separate series altogether? Would you really rate it so drastically if that were the case?

Anyway, I'll see about commenting on the actual story when there's a bit more of it translated.

Alright. I've read 64 chapters of the manhwa. It's quite interesting. It's not great, but it's a fun read. The art style is very pleasant to look at, which is one of the reasons I can still enjoy it even though the story itself is way too rushed...
However, since I started reading the LN too, it nicely fills out all the plot holes for me.
The LN story is by far superior to the adaptation, but I have no problem reading and enjoying both.
Perhaps it's because I've waited till ~chapter 50 of the manhwa to pick up the LN, but then again... who knows?

I'm rating the manhwa as 7.5-8. My comment will show 8.5, but that's because I sort my reading list based on series ratings and I usually put series that get frequent releases slightly higher than the rest.

Brings shame to original novel

.... Seriously Ive never read an adapted piece of work that is so bad. Like previous commenters mentioned, artist changed plot, character, EVERYTHING!

The novel gives off an epic awe-inspiring vibe but the manga makes the story look pathetic and cheap! Please dont read it!!

There is really no point in reading this. To keep certain features the author of this one has made the story super-jumpy and random. Truly not worthy of the name. I truly wanted to give this a chance, but no! It's not worth it!

Its really so much worse. they change the tone, the story, and characters a lot and usually for the worse. bebe becomes a cute mascot character, grandpa becomes a young woman instead and linley's transformation looks so bad. Just read the novel its been translated up to the second main part which is like 400 manga chapters ahead. -- Added 7/5 Also demonic's scans/translations are a bit off. It's NOT crouching, dragon the 'Coiling dragon' refers to the Azure Dragon looks like a giant blue Shen Long (from DBZ). The Coiling dragon ring and (later statues) show long snake like dragons with no legs they cant crouch they coil.
