I liked it because it shocked me in many ways, to begin with, it caused many different comments and reactions as I can see, and for me, a graphic story, a bunch of lines on paper, if you want, that can really communicate emotions has already won half of the matter. This is the thing I like the most about manga, that it can bring real emotions as you read.
Because this is her first work (I think, or at least the first one that's been scanlated and the first one I've read by her) it was kinda experimental, and of course, we can realize since the first chapter that this mangaka has a different way of thinking, so, her work is destined to be fully appreciated by a reduced group of people. Yeah, it is a twisted manga, and the art is one of the most beautiful I've seen.
In fact, I think she realizes that she's weird, (kinda like Watanabe Asia, though she's still a special case...) but it's worth it because she managed to make (despite being based on some cliches) a manga, that was different of everything else I've read.
I'd like to point out one thing about her art, and the way she uses her expressive way of drawing to indicate implicit feelings, (I think, sometimes she leaves parts of the story for you to interpret it, as if drawing invisible words into her characters or situations)
Well, that's just my point of view, and I'm starting to think if I'm a twisted human being for liking this.
Of course it's not the manga of the decade, but still I'm sure it's worth the read.
