A really beautiful manga, exploring the darkest parts of obsession and love

Though I must say the Akio and Ryou story weren't my favorite in this book, and the other two pairs are very sweet. Still, I enjoyed that this manga explores some of the darker, more messed up relationships that one can be in. It was a great break from the usual course of "Oh my gosh~ We're so in loooove~!" Love isn't always a sweet and sugary experience, and sometimes people get wrapped around relationships that are unhealthy, and even violent.

I think this manga is a great read, and if seeing obsessive and violent relationships aren't for you, just skip the first two chapters and instead read about Harumi and Toki or Naoki and Keito, both very sweet and love filled chapters.

I like Madarame's work, but not this one.

There are three stories in this book. The first one is, well, a bit disturbing to put it lightly. Others have already summed it up, so I won't go into detail, but I found it highly unrealistic. Instead of ending happily ever after, the story should have ended with the psychotic one going to jail.
The second story was my favorite. This one is about a shy office worker who meets his crush in a gay bar. The characters in this story were not selfish and dispicable people, so I found it easier to read about them.
The last story featured your regular garden variety douchebag, who thinks too highly of himself. This guy is also one who can't seem to stop sleeping with women even though he's in a relationship with a man. And his partner just takes it, without a word. Again, unrealistic. Most people, regardless of gender, would dumpity dump. Despite my criticisms, I was entertained by the collection. I also really love Madarame's art style. It's beautiful.

I actually really enjoy this story. I thinks its wonderfully done. Even though Ryou has that type of personality where he cant reject women when they ask him. I do believe his love for Akio is real to the point of desperation. I can't wait to see the rest of the chapters.

I don't know if the reader is supposed to be charmed or disgusted by this manga. When I reached the end of the first chapter, I actually felt a little sick.

Ryou rapes and slits the wrists of his boyfriend, saying "If he's going to be with someone else and leave me...! If that happened, I'd rather kill him!" The boyfriend later responds to this after being treated at the hospital (telling his doctor it was a suicide attempt!) by calling it "the most wonderful declaration of love there is". His friend looks a little nonplussed, and that's it. That's all we get.

Messy, screwed-up, broken romance can be a turn-on, fine, but if the authorial voice isn't strong enough in making clear quite how unhealthy this is, even if they let their characters do it anyway, then there's no excuse for portraying it like this.

Also, as seems to be par for the course with Madarame Hiro, the portrayal of women is ridiculous and insulting.

"there is a reason why Ryou sleeps around and searches for love with other women."

I am sorry but in my opinion there is never a good enough reason to cheat. whatever excuse people come up with to cheat, is just that, an excuse. the fact that he is willing to cheat on his partner basically means that he is unhappy in the relationship and that he is willing to risk losing him by cheating, what kind of love is that?

A collection of three short stories.
Each beautifully drawn and beautifully written.

Being short stories, the pacing had to be speed up at times or things had to start in Medias Res but entertaining nonetheless.

Each story had a unique Angst factor to it that waa very characteristic of Madarame Hiro

I love it so much!!! It's been a while since I've read obsessive love manga like that, it usually ends up with the deme or the male partner being absolutely dominant about the other and that kind of story was getting kind of boring. What makes the story so good is the fact it has a different kind of seme and as usual, madarame-sensei is good at executing seme characters. Well I guess my taste is different from the early reviewers who openly dislike it lol. Don't get me wrong, I don't condone such behavior but it's a manga and its different from what most story contain so yeahh. Though I gues it doesn't really fit in this collection since the next 2 story are sane

Third story - My Lover

Told in an unconventional way about an established relationship. Different and introspective. It has sort of an open ending. Another chapter that gives us more resolution would have been nice.

About first story.... No really!
I mostly agree with all these comments with low rating.
Ryou is obsessive hypocritical brainless disgusting crybaby..and I'm not exaggerating. And I feel sick just looking at him...and I really don't get Akio....

I'm rating this manga 6 because I really like second story and also quite the third one.

Even though I knew she does make her ukes really pathetic and lovesick, I can't help but love it because all the semes are charmed either way. They can't escape the miso ukes!!!! I even got tears. XD
