Second story, cute. third story, nice. But first.... Mmmm that whats awkward. Although I felt some connection with real life events on it, its a little too much.

The rape on those circumstances I can understand, but why did he open up his lover arm like that! That was just crazy but in a way like: this shouldn't be on a manga or in any other place, you never know when someone is gonna try that becouse he/she read it!

Akio's friend at least the only sane person in the manga! (although I would have killed Ryou)

Not that scary, not like what the other say. But i should say it that the very FIRST STORY is so Depresing!!! That moment it's almost make me think to stop reading this manga. But i still persistent and keep reading 'till the ending. And... "yaaayy" No one die!!! 😀 I almost cry of scared if someone die here! And the other, the 2nd couple is interesting! I love their story! And about the 3rd is gloomy-weird-unique. But not bad at all. Just unique. Peace! hehe...
This is good very very good for First manga! Worth to be read. 🙂

At first I didn't like it. Main characters in the first story were annoying and I didn't like this style of drawing, but... I kept reading (usually I drop reading). Yes, it was annoying, but still it was attracting me ^-^ (hehe, just like the relationships from the last story). I was imbued with the plot and started to enjoy it.
Somehow, all the stories here are touching (though they won't bring you to tears).

read any literature? heck, looked around yourself in real life lately? because that's chock-full of terrible relationships which people continue out of "love". i don't need the authorial voice to tell me how to feel, because i can figure it out for myself; i don't read to be spoon-fed somebody else's view on life and the human condition. the first story packs a serious punch. it's SUPPOSED to make us feel uncomfortable. gloryfying rape and violence? i don't read it that way -- it serves them up for the reader to think about the obsessions of love, and what's wrong with the protagonists (anyone who sees only ryou as wrong needs to read it again with more discernment). "there is never a good reason to cheat"? and yet millions of people do it. maybe there's no excuse, but there are explanations, and one has to understand motivations before one can deal with the causes. showing how ryou is driven to what he does is not an excuse, it is an explanation. depicting two people badly damaging their love (but not ending it) is a heck of a lot more honest than the canon of BL that excuses "rape out of love" for mere titillation. i appreciate mangaka who try to break out of the genre ghetto. and i need make no excuses here for "well, it's just BL", because these sorts of things do happen in real life, often ending tragically. that said, the story doesn't entirely succeed for me either, just for different reasons which i need to think about more to put them into words.

the second story doesn't really fit the same theme, and i wouldn't have included it here, but it's not mere fluff either. the third story goes into the same territory; about the damage people do to each other, all while proclaiming love. it didn't affect me quite like the first one, but i felt sadder by the end of it. we don't learn fast enough. but the volume suffers as a whole from having two lesser stories follow the strong one.

the art is very interesting, quite different from the usual, loose and ... swirly. i need better words to describe art, wry grin. chibification is extreme and differs so much from the main style that it tore me out of the story, but mixing humour and tragedy very, very rarely works for me.

This manga caught my attention at the very first page. I love all the drama within the first chapter. I love the sense of the possessive lover in this piece of work. It might be a little hard core but it actually nailed me down, so the following chapters seemed a little boring for me. I wished the whole volume could miantain such strong sense of drama all along.

......yes. Dramatic. And done well. And beautiful. And well-detailed. >_>; Madarame Hiro really did a good job by putting THAT story as the first wham to all of us.

The rest of that, even the continuation of the first chapter, however, is... fluff. Not as dramatic. Not as..... controversial. And even that story is the reality of "I'll kill you then kill myself!" trope, that seems to be quite prevalent in Japan.

Another case of art and tone saves the (pretty generic) storyline.

this is the first time in a long while that i actually enjoy the story and the characters in a BL. usually i just read it for the sex and nothing more, but this one is actually pretty good. the art is a very big plus, airy and defined it make everything more beautiful.

the first story is excellent. i love the possessive type, but i am always annoyed by the arrogance that come with it. thats why this seme is so perfect to me. yes he is cute but the dangerous, violent, murderous rapist side of him give a sexier edge to it. the first rapist in a long while that i dont hate. i am also not hating the cheating. it is probably because he always make it clear who he really in love with. the uke is also likable. i always hate the pushover cry baby uke but this uke is pretty cool. he is quite level headed and his motherly instinct towards the seme is endearing. this pair is perfect for each other.

the second story is also very cute. it is very simple yet the execution is great. the paneling, the facial expression, the composition, the art, the words...they all fits together. both the characters are likable. i do not get annoyed by the uke's hesitance. the seme's easy going attitude is a good point and he is ever so kind.

the third story is also cute. i always hate arrogant seme, but this seme, though arrogant, is portrayed in a more gentler way, making him likable. the uke is weak, but i like his deep love. i always like conviction in relationships.

all in all, a very good read.

This was freaked me the heck out. I didn't read all the categories, so I missed it - but I don't read stuff with rape. This has that. Just... no. It's too intense for me.

But the art was really beautiful. That's it's good point.

[edited] I have revisited this manga recently and I found it considerably more enjoyable this time around. The problems I had with it previously are still there, but I think there is definitely something to be said for the way emotion is conveyed and for the writing style. It's far from perfect, but I've read a lot of utter garbage lately and this is not it. The second story is also quite good.

Like others have mentioned, the weird little comical faces thrown into the first story were extremely unfitting and weird.

Attempted murder plus ADORABLE COMEDY!!....wait what? It didn't work for me. . Ryou is borderline mentally handicapped. Maybe "borderline" is being generous. I really didn't mind that the relationship was completely horrible, but I wish it had ONLY been serious. The first chapter has about a volume's worth of drama, and the second is normally paced and just very day to day lives of a relationship with someone who probably should have a legal custodian. It's weird for one chapter to have SO much and the next to be all normal rainbows and sunshine.

Aside from the various downfalls of the story, the paneling was frantic and sometimes difficult to follow. The art, however, was very, very good. Really gorgeous. My rating is as high as it is because of this and because the sex scenes are pretty lovely. heh.

I enjoyed the second story much more than the first. It was pretty cute(and hot). The story felt new, though I can't really place why it did as going through it in my head, it's nothing ground breaking. Either way, it wasn't stale. Worth a read.

The oneshot didn't really work for me, but I can't place why. The characters weren't particularly likeable, the story had an odd flow, it just wasn't my favorite.

Horrible manga

Okay, seriously... attempted murder? Attempted murder of your partner isn't exactly just obsessive or screwed up love. It's something that should land you in jail for 20 years. I never really understood WHY Ryou cheated and why he let some random woman take control and kick the person he supposedly loved out of his life. As icky as it is to BL fans the relationships with these women should have been developed as well. I just have zero understanding of the point of the story. It's supposed to be shocking and that's basically the plot. There is no real analysis of the human condition or social commentary. It's just bull.

What others have said about it exploring complex relationships and obsessiveness might ring true if everything wasn't mostly forgiven by the end of the chapter. If you are going to do a story so dark and twisted, then follow through with it. I don;t think the story fits in with the super deformed cutesie images the mangka randomly throws in. I know this couple doesn't deserve a "happy end". Obsessive, dark and horrible relationships have been done well in manga, just not in this manga.
