Typical shoujo with a naive female lead and a handsome, yet jerk male lead. I was hearing comments from before that L-DK is very cliche but you see, some titles take cliches and they make them enjoyable. But not in this case.
The first volume was entertaining. I said to myself, "This is not that bad."
But once I proceeded to the second volume and later, I felt so bored. It's like the author is forcing for various situations to happen. And some situations are just unbelievable. At first the author seemed that she was trying to achieve realism but she failed. For example,
Aoi and Shuusei are only 16 and they are so damn independent. They are able to live alone without any problems. They pay the rent, they buy anything they want... How is that possible? Even if your parents can send you money, they cannot send you THAT much. It would be more excusable if the characters were college students, then okay.
And it's just so predictable. I mean, you know that third people will step between Aoi and Shuusei and drama will begin.
The characters are just so boring. Aoi is your typical naive heroine, just one level above from the super stupid heroines of Mayu Shinjo. At first she does not care for Shuusei but later she falls for him.
Shuusei... He is just an idiot. Ok, he has looks and he attracts tons of girls. Aoi on the other hand is simple but she is interested to be in a serious relationship with a guy in general. Yet Shuusei goes to her, he is flirting with her, Aoi is blushing (and of course she is charmed by his looks), she thinks that he has fallen for her but in the end he tells her not to fall for him and he rejects her. Why in the first place Shuusei flirts with her? Just to play? Just to kill his time? Even so, he targets Aoi a lot. He is just pathetic and immature like Shin from Goong.
The artwork is alright, nothing that great.
