Description

Owada, an ordinary boy and also the “Villager A” in his class, can't help but be curious about Katou, a boy who belongs to the "Royalties" sitting behind him. Owada gathers up his courage and tries to talk to him, but Katou just ignores him with crystal-like eyes. However, one day, Owada accidentally touches Katou-kun’s secret that no one knows...!

"Owada annoying" this, "Katou unlikable" that...honestly, I find everyone in this manga unlikable. Owada screams too much and drools over Katou, Katou's entire personality is "announce plot points" plus "kick Owada when he gets too handsy", and Mimasaka is just there to act shitty towards the both of them. The art is alright, but nothing out of the ordinary. During chapter 3, I walked away from my PC, came back, forgot I was reading this, and opened another manga in another tab. That's how interested I was in this.

Not sure how I feel

Honestly, both characters are pretty awful in their own right. I would take the time to fully write out my feelings on this pairing, but I don't HAVE the time nor patience to do that. HUGE miscommunication (like constantly) and no actual talking of feelings until their relationship is at a breaking point each time. Also the fact that the best friend is just a dick and constantly insults and assaults Owada is just unnecessary. Also Katou hitting him in general is not okay at all. Owada doesn't get off scott-free cause he's annoying in his own right, but Katou's treatment of him certainty doesn't help. This just seems like a really toxic dynamic, and I probably won't be reading the sequel.

A little frustrating but overall it's cute!

The main couple have a great dynamic, Katou who seems very cold on the surface but is actually very thoughtful and emotional, and Owada, shy and a little meek but also (with a little nudging) is straightforward and caring. I personally found the miscommunication between the two and the way other characters (particularly that asshole childhood friend) treated Owada frustrating but the way any issues were resloved were very cute!

Disappointing

It's interesting to see some people hating on katou, when the one I disliked was owada. I liked owada in the beginning, a plain looking guy admiring and want to get close to the popular guy. But the whole issue here is lack of communication and misunderstanding between the two characters. The insecurity of owada is no joke and it is all bc he makes his own conclusions about katou without asking him. Even katou too about the sex toy is ridiculous. I just get tired of reading this book by ch.3 and it didn't even change until the end.
I have a feeling, this relationship will continue to be filled with insecurities and fights in the future.
Probably won't be reading the sequel of the series.

Cute art, poor plot development and execution

The art is nice and the characters themselves aren't that bad per se, but their relationship dynamics were only filled with a huge load of miscommunication, insecurities, jealousy and misunderstandings, and the author just really loved throwing the same-old and overly used tropes to try to keep the plot going, which in turn made the plot actually non-existent lol The pacing was also way too fast and very underdeveloped. I guess the only redeeming point about this manga is the art, any other aspect leaves something to be desired.

Fuck Katou. Spoilers! He’s the WORST. He continuously doesn’t communicate and makes his boyfriend worry. In the 4th chapter, he leaves in the middle of their date after getting a text from his friend. Doesn’t explain anything to his boyfriend and then you find out in chapter 5 that it’s because he was gonna have that friend help him get used to anal sex! The same guy Owada has been worried about the whoooole manga. Scared they liked each other and getting anxious over. Wtf😕 😕 The only reason his friend doesn’t do it is because he thinks it’s funny Katou is so desperate. So Katou is all, “so we went to sleep and we didn’t do anything.”

Like, EXCUSE ME? Why not get your fucking boyfriend to do it? How lucky for your boyfriend that you were going to cheat on him but boohoo, you couldn’t do it? So we’re supposed to feel bad for you?

AND the only reason we even find out about that is because Owada (his boyfriend) just happened to run into the friend who gave him a sex toy in a bag and is all, “Give this to Katou. He left it at my place. Hehe.” Maaaan. FUCK Katou. Owada deserves someone so much nicer. Someone who doesn’t let their friends BULLY their boyfriend and doesn’t constantly stress their boyfriend out. OR someone who doesn’t try to cheat on their boyfriend and then tries to play the victim. “Boohoo, there was a girl who gave you food so I freaked out and HAD to get my friend to stretch my hole so I could be ready for sex with you.” Fuck you, Katou.
