Description

Could things get any worse for Yul? Actually, yes. She's stuck in a dark and tragic novel as an imprisoned guinea pig for wizards, with death being the easiest way out. The one other way to escape her hellish prison is to use Kal, the story's male lead and the most powerful test subject in history. Slow Pacing and Weak Characters Hold Back an Interesting Concept

I read up to chapter 21, and while the concept itself has potential, the execution falls flat. The characters feel bland, and the storytelling is painfully slow. For twenty chapters, the male lead and female lead barely share any meaningful interaction—most of the time he’s just brooding or staring in silence, and nothing truly happens between them.

In fact, you could skip straight to chapter 21 from the start and miss nothing of substance, since the plot barely moves and the characters don’t push it forward. Things do happen, but none of it feels like actual plot development or anything engaging.

The pacing is the biggest flaw: what’s been stretched into twenty-one chapters could easily have been told in ten. At this point, the story is dragging without reason, and the lack of momentum makes it difficult to stay invested.

(time of writing: complete, 70/70) First season was nothing extraordinary, but it was fine! The concept of it was not something I've read before and I thought it could be interesting. But the plot takes a REALLY sharp turn in the second season. It makes NO SENSE. The pacing is all over the place and the story is barely coherent or cohesive.

It started off interesting enough. Being 'born from magic', I thought that these characters would be some sort of weird humanoid creatures, which would be cool, but nope!

It would've also been interesting to see the main couple on the run from slavery or something, but nope!

Being 'born' right next the ML, him being your first memory, having your magic be tied together, etc. would kind of imply the two of them being close, but NOPE! "I am just lucky he doesn't outright hate me!" Says the dimwit of a female lead.

Better skip this one if you don't have time to waste.
