How funny is that. I find the first story to be really weak. But I'll get to that in a bit. From a short story or a collection, I expect it to be a bit more meaningful, introspective, original ect. Not necessarily sad, but this collection didn't live up to it.
What I didn't expect out of this was the gay context. One of lower reasons I sometimes dislike shoujo. That came out of nowhere, and it really lacks an understanding of male friendship. Whether it was a side effect of trying to make them cute, or make them close, that was the effect it gave most of the stories(cept the first and last).
Most of them are pretty predictable too. Like you didn't know what would happen the minute the midori mentioned his lifespan and met a little girl. Still, even with how obvious it was The cat story was alright. While the strongest is the titular story.
Occupation angel would have been the type of work I mentioned in the beginning, had it been the more predictable work. Originally, the concept of OA is the reason I tried this collection. Storywise, my expectations were blank till The first couple of pages gave made me think it'd be the kind of story I mentioned in the beginning of this review.
Unlike the other stories though, it was unpredictable in how straight forward it was its plot. No surprises, but still, the nicest story, and strongest concept in the book.

The first story was definitely the best one and I felt the others couldn't really keep up with that quality not to say they were bad or anything but it kind of feels that way after being served such a terrific story. The first story gets a 10 really, the rest around 6-7 i guess.
Really sweet stories
