Better to read the novel since they had to rush the ending

Great start but genuinely one of the most awful rushed endings I’ve read in a while, the final villain battle was like 2 chapters … sick and tired of having these Korean artists getting their contracts cancelled.

Rest of the story I (apparently controversially) enjoyed. Ml kills her dozens of times as he

knows her family (that is notorious for committing cruel crimes in the empire) murdered his entire family in the orphanage, he deadass had no reason to sit there and empathise with fl and thought she was the one turning back time to make him go through the suffering again and again bcuz he was reborn immediately with memories every time he killed her. He was chosen by the goddess as the hero, and had killed the villain multiple times bcuz of it so it wasn’t even a nonsensical thought to have that fl could turn back time to hurt him. As for why fl forgave him she was living those multiple lives alone and began to empathise with him when she took him in as a slave, she’s mentally suffering for a lot of the webtoon from the loneliness and isolation from her evil family so there is a lot of the found family trope between them and her knight & her maid before she falls in love. Also fl also held the same views against her father and wanted her half siblings dead too as her father killed her real siblings

I feel like with these type of manhwas you have to be open to taking in both ml and fls povs to be able to enjoy it

Sadly boring

Currently 59 chapters are available. And I’m bored. It’s difficult to describe but the ML doesn’t seem to have any personality. There’s no chemistry between the leads, no banter, no nothing. The FL isn’t bad but she’s still bland, and then becomes someone else entirely for like 4 chapters before going back to the bland character she was.

This story wants to be mature, to deal with trauma and revenge and scheming, but it falls incredibly short. The characters feel like children, even though they’ve already lived multiple lives. And then they grow up but don’t evolve and it’s just… boring. Most of all their romance.

I also had more expectations for the plot, but everything exciting was over in a few chapters, like it was a subplot or something. Very anticlimactic.

Idk it just feels like a missed shot because of bad storytelling and boring characters. Dropped

Ok, so if you like a ML who is a literal psycho (not caring or human in ANY way) go ahead. This ML kills FL over and over again because she shares the blood of the man who caused him great suffering. But the whole flashback scenes were simply frustrating since he contemplates about his own suffering, experiencing the loss of his family and having to endure her fathers torture each time he returns back in time. The problem I have is that he ignores the fact that she suffers every life as well, both at his hands and at other people hands. The author hasn’t written any self-reflection of himself from his inner monolouge and makes me think they are going to push for some kind of romance FIRST and THEN he’ll grow a conscience and grow a somewhat more tolerable personality.

I can’t feel much empathy for him after 20+ chapters of him going over his past suffering and taking out his anger on everyone else, especially FL. He’s not just limiting this ”revenge” on the people who hurt him but also everyone else who he feels like should die, because why not. There’s literally nothing likable about him. He has NO redeming qualities, no personality, no fun quirck, nothing. You feel sorry for him when first seeing his backstory but after that, the stuff he does has no justification and honestly doesn’t even compare to the suffering he causes.

I could rant more but I’ll stop myself. Read if you are fine with sloppily written character that NO ONE, especially FL, should fall in love with.
