The characters in this manga sickens me to the core. Maybe I could've enjoyed it immensely back when I first started out reading manga at the age of 8-10. It's pathetically bad in terms of story and characters. It has all the tropes that makes you question if the author isn't a bit too stuck in the times of 20-30 years ago. I would say this is catering to children, at most early teenagers.
We have the mc that is ridiculously powerful for no good reason. Unlike a decent novel or manga, it isn't justified even a little. The power system reeks of nonsense. Why is he this powerful? For what reason? Why would kanji be usable? Why would the amount of characters be what matters instead of the amount of effect/power these words contain? There are no clear power levels for any of the characters, clearly the author just adds whatever he feels like. The mc is only OP and better than everyone else because the author seems to think it's cool, not because it makes sense, because he earned it or any other reason, I can't really get behind that unless it's a true comedy/gag novel with nothing else going on, not this mess of a pretend drama(the author tries to put in drama, action and stuff like that but fails spectacularly over and over again, it feels way too artificial/ridiculous).
Even if we ignore this, and I am perfectly capable of doing so, it doesn't help that everyone around the protagonist are retarded. Questionable motives, utterly illogical relationships etc. Everyone seemingly only has one or at most two sides to them, in other words, they're all flat. The protagonist is a doormat who seems to fail grasping even basic common sense despite being reincarnated from modern day japan. The author explains this away by the "logic" that the "common sense" is supposedly "different" in this world, but the story proves this theory wrong. In essence, the author trips himself up by denying the entire concept of the world's common sense being even slightly different from our own. It's just that the protagonist, somehow, is completely out of touch with reality and with an added dash of being an utter moron and airhead, he seems incapable of noticing even slightly how his actions might be abnormal. I'm not too fond of character's lacking everything in the brains department, even more so when he's far from the only character where that's true.
He gets pushed around by people and is all too happy to be screwed over. Despite his two lifetimes and powers, he's acting like a powerless and exceedingly simple 10 year old that sees the best in people and doesn't want to harm others.
Perhaps the most off-putting part of this manga isn't this, however. I find the romance to be so bad I struggle to not cringe and squirm in my chair over how bad it is. The protagonist falls in love instantly upon catching sight of the heroine, proclaiming that she's insanely cute, and the heroine instantly starts blushing, acting shy and being dazed because she's so absorbed in how cool he is and how heads over heels she fell for him all of a sudden at their first meeting when they hadn't even spoken to each other yet. Sorry, romance does not and will never work like that, any author utilizing actual love at first sight without prior interactions are too stupid for words. I get being slightly struck by desire, but that is at best a carnal desire, not one of romance or love at all. It doesn't justify acting like this. That carnal desire could gradually turn into love once you've verified eachother's personalities and have spent some time together, but not before that. After that, it's just a train of cringe. The mc wants to protect her for no good reason, she loves him to the point of insanity. The repeated attempts from the author trying to show her cuteness failed to hit home as well. Yup, she's a cutesy character, but she's also a moronic airhead, the type of character that was popular long ago. She has nothing at all in the brains department, she's exactly that cute object that is supposed to just be the "ideal" of the overly obedient woman that loves you to death. She has no proper emotions, being more akin to a fluffy little animal than an actual girl. Her purpose is to be as cutesy as possible with nothing else going on. I really can't stand that type of girl in the first place but this manga really made it as bad as possible.
Dropped after around 10 chapters, as each chapter is around 50 pages, I really can't justify trying for this long. Please don't read this unless you're really young or haven't read any novels or manga before. Even then, it would be better to read some better manga.
