The female lead hasn't cheated on the male lead yet (40 chapters in) , so I don't know if that information is accurate. And considering it's only 60 chapters, i doubt it happens.

Beyond that, it's quite decent. The female lead is great! —she's independent, successful through mostly her own means, and quickly apologizes for her rash decision to propose to the male lead in the first chapter ever, lol. The male lead is sorta like a puppy character: adorable and loyal, though he seemed more strong minded initially. Not my favorite archetype, but he's decent.

Male lead falls in love first, she purposes in a burst of anger (unrelated to male lead) , immediately takes it back and apologizes but ml isn't planning on letting her off the hook cause he's been actively trying to figure out how to get close to her. Female lead is honest with him and doesn't use him. They both eventually discuss their lives and feelings and everything gets laid out on the table. Fl doesn't ever lead ML on or be insincere with his feelings she's just slightly taken aback at first by the ML sudden deceleration of affection and doesn't trust it at first. Also as of chapter 30 is entirely faithful. There isn't even a 2nd male lead to flirt with her. So I have no idea what the last commenter meant by that? I'm of the opinion that you're supposed "simp" for the people you love. If you can't tell the person you love that you adore them and support them then who can you tell? the whole anti simp thing is weird to me like is it supposed to be impressive that you aren't kind, loving, nurturing and understanding to your loved ones? Weird flex.

Anyways I had to skim through some small parts with the grandmother character because it made me so mad. The art is very pretty. Some of the current antagonists (the cousin) seem a little one dimensional and shallow but I guess that's just part of what makes you love to hate her. I love the male lead. He's very cute and compassionate. Not that deep yet besides his love for FL but it seems they've set the story up now and are about to dive into his tragic (probably) backstory.

So far this gives me the vibes of a healing romance. They've both got trauma and don't feel seen by most but they see each other and are kinda kindred souls finally getting brave enough to go after what they want.

I don't think it will be everyone's cup of tea but I don't think it's bad. I'm gonna hang in there and see how it goes. I hope they can heal and get their happy ever after

This is a recipe for trash shoujo.
It's kinda annoying how the FL is super trash and just using ML for her own gain and the ML being super SIMP monkey her is let's her to that without any shed of dignity man this sure is trash through and through.
