Description

steamy, but otherwise crap

i've added "smut" to the genre listing, because that's what this is. no character development; heck, no relationship development except for a sudden leap from 0 to 60 at the end; just smut, smut, smut. i don't know how to rate it, because as far as smut goes, it's pretty hot, and quite successful. but i can't say i expected it to be this smutty from the blurb; i expected more of a story, and i was hoping for more interesting characters. it'd be nice if june at least spelled out just how smutty it is instead of misleading readers.

kanae is a sad case of bad self-esteem, and yuichi is a massive, self-absorbed jerk. ok, so he treats kanae somewhat better than anyone else, but i don't think that's a win for kanae because he's never going to graduate if he continues to go along with yuichi's constant truancy, snicker. i can't say i found that story to be particularly cute; and it's such an old cliche too. i disliked yuichi the most when he said at the end that he had figured it had been kanae's first time (despite kanae trying valiantly to hide the pain) -- but apparently that didn't keep yuichi from continuing. how loving!

so if you're looking for wank material, go ahead. if you're looking for interesting, likeable characters, or a plot, forget it.

This is a yaoi novel that has a lot of sex....so people who don't like yaoi novels with a lot of sex won't like this novel lol...

I liked it because it was steamy and it's a good novel to read while you want to pass time, it was acually fun to read. Some people will always have something to say when a novel does not come up to their standards, but this novel should not even be taken seriously..it's a quick steamy read.

I also liked the very ending, it was a cute ending 🙂

Crowned the worst yaoi novel I've ever read of all time!
I've never seen such a doormat uke in my entire life, who is more emotional than a confused shoujo girl. He seems utterly reliant on Yuuichi for his own happiness, and Yuuichi is a sex fiend who just uses him like some sort of blowup doll. Tacky and poorly written.

Surprisingly crap, no really

I was drawn in by the marvellous blurb, but severely disappointed.
This is truly a porn novel.
The characterisation is extremely poor, and the characters unattractive.

The uke has poor self-esteem and was emotionally abused by his mother for his effete appearance.

The Seme is a complete and utter git, who treats his girlfriends and later boyfriend as sex objects, whose only purpose is to gratify his lust for the duration of their association.

In between sex, in the manner he proscribes, he insults his partner and has them conform to his every whim, including to the point of insisting that the uke skips classes, and becoming angry and abusive (forcing public foreplay) when the uke refuses on the basis that he must show up for an assessment.

The translation was ok, occasional errors with tenses, but the general quality of the writing style was rather poor. Even Mills and Boon insists on more plot and scene development than this book contains.

It truly is a porn comic.

I liked the Novel Body language but I think there is to much sex.
The novel is really short and when you put together all the sex scene that would make 1/2 or 2/3 of the novel. It was a bit annoying but the story was very cute.

Despite reviewing this after this after Morimoto's other work, I did read it first, and I'm glad I did, had I started by reading Love Comedy no You ni I probably wouldn't have picked this one up. This was a LOT of sex. Everywhere, the train, the bathroom, every where. Underneath it all there was a cute story, and the writing style was fine, despite the numerous typos. This is a little shorter than most of the other BL novels, but length doesn't mean quality. I mean, look at Little Darling. Any how, if you don't mind gratuitous amount of sex, or if you are looking for that, then this is a novel for you.
