(Absolutely biased rambling!)

I'm sticking around because Daddy Cinderella is perfect. I love everything about him especially his looks. I don't care that he "looks old" or others on other sites claim he's like 1 breath away from dying of famine because he looks like a hungry vampire. He's my ideal 2D man when it comes to visuals.😩

I absolutely adore this ML---really an uncommon situation among the others I've read.
The plot they had shown with how the ML and FL's relationship have come to is something I really enjoyed as well.

I share a different opinion than most readers but I actually like his calculating personality a truly unique male lead and the female lead is powerful and smart

If this were written way better I could see the story as really good. Being scorned and then becoming a duchess - it's nothing new but still fun to read about, and the male lead isn't stereotypical.

But, the execution is pretty lackluster. The female lead is written to be a bit too OP for suddenly becoming the most strongest most powerful person in the kingdom after her father. Also, out of all the ways to depict a strong independent female lead, revenge fics are my least favorite. Instead of being competent and solving more challenging issues with her newfound power she uses her status solely to screw over a guy who's small fry and should now be inconsequential to her and to be mean to people who were mean to her. The male lead, too, is super OP. He would be an interesting character given his backstory, but unfortunately no nuance is explored in this story so he's still rather two-dimensional.

This is also one of those webtoons where emotions are super exaggerated - everything is emotional to the max from people grievously shocked to servants desperately apologizing to the female lead's face scrunched up in pure rage... at one point the female lead grabs her ex by the shirt collar and screams at him - and it's not some important moment or anything just the ex being a jerk per usual and she looks totally unhinged.

All that being said, the plot is the shining point of the story and is still engaging enough for me to read it so I'd compare this to like, junk food that's just good enough to keep eating 'cause you feel like eating something.

The ML is truly unique, like one of a kind. He doesn't get swayed or controlled by feelings like everyone else and really loves his subtle schemes, but at the same time he is not a bad person and you can tell he cares about her.

I love this manhwa. It has strong female lead that can use magic and is good at sword fighting, I like the nice make lead, art and characters are beautiful and the plot is interesting. It is definitely in my top fav manhwa.

Scalation quality is shocking fro ch. 11 and the characters take a nosedive in ch. 10-11, so just pretend it all works out and move on to better things.

It's a shame because the set up was done quite well and had it's own little spins on things..
