This is quite a good manga, to bad everyone is trying to put it in the same mindset as Berserk. I agree with some of the people who are saying that the comparison is ridiculous since they are both two totally different stories. The only similarities that you can really put them on with is that they are both dark fantasies. Well with that aside I have to say I was pretty pleased on what I read. The story seems to be building up in an interesting way, and the artwork is pretty great too. The characters were pretty intriguing as well, the history of a good amount of them would probably prove to be a very interesting read as well.

Seriously that ending? Absolute shit. No satisfaction at all, just a hollow feeling of "...That's it?" To those who actually followed this crap on the regular till it finally got put down like the diseased mongrel it was, I feel sorry for you all.

There's fanservice. Tons of it. For those guys out there who love seeing tit-pics or naked butts, you'll enjoy the peeks. For the ladies, the angtsy bishounen main character will tide you over the fanservice that is CLEARLY for the male sex. Each volume delivers.

Although it gets annoying when the main character starts tearing up everytime he kills someone, it still tugs at my heartstrings every time. The art is quite nice and the storyline is dramatically bloody. Although I'm not a gory manga kind of person, the blood was bearable. Some parts are very OUT THERE, with the protagnist having a good old time with some older/younger/no clue who he is but still has sex with him.

Oh, I do appreciate the fact that the mangaka does not draw young girls with boobs bulging out of their tops. Very nice. With all the ecchi manga nowadays, girl's proportions are grossly exaggerated.

OVERALL, those who like action, angst, a good story, tons of time to read 10 volumes, and beautifully drawn people will enjoy this. Plus, the translated manga scans have memorable quoted. Oh yes, and who knew Koinzell looked so dang elegant whilst fighting a battle with blood splattered on his face? Pure fangirl material.

Men, there is a sex scene in the first few chapters. If that doesn't make you interested, you must be strange.

love it, a great blend of story and action and its epic!!! guys that are saying there's too much sex are exaggerating as there's only a few in the first few volumes after that there hardly any at all. all manga fans should read this.

Ok suvi of IIDX will not be comming back to the internet anytime soon. I have been given the task to keep uploading volume 8 to the end. Suvi got it completed and per his wishes this will be a weekly release. Until I'm told otherwise it's once a week

Before Im going to read this I jsut have to comment...How can people read Berserk? Maybe I'm too strict when it comes to art, but a huge dude bulging with muscles as a main character doesn't appeal to me...that alone is the only thing stopping me from reading it...reminds me of rambo.

Agree with Tokkun and lilbro. Of course it's a matter of tastes, but well, this manga is predictable and somehow childish. The art is ok but has nothing new to it, the plot is very simple so far and the characters are pretty stereotypical. Anyhoe, i'll give it some time before dropping it...

It used to be a story that wasn’t the most original and had too many cases of female characters used as fanservice that could have been avoided since they had no sense in the plot, but it was enjoyable and the characters compelling. However, after volume ten the plot started to be too cliched and empty and the character lacking any logic so I dropped this series. I suggest anyone to not waste time with it: you’ll end up only disappointed.

The plan is pretty cool; personal revenge turn out to be a group quest, which along the way take up valuable lessons and friends. However, its execution is nothing to speak of. I trace some intention of putting main characters in cool position in the middle of urgent situation. For example, giving command calmly from a bathub while intercepting an attacking army. Or walking slowly with contentment of own accomplishment while riot is still underway. I have to go here to check up if this manga intended for teenage reader or this is author first piece because, well, they're ridiculous. Add non-protective armour, skimpy clothing, useless knights, irrelevant sex scene; if this piece were to made a movie, it wouldn't even made a decent B-rate.

Turns out, this manga is for mature audience. I don't know which mature audience, but I refuse to be entertained by piece that are put together haphazardly. I guess that's okay if we read it when we're in 'the hell of it, I just want to read some story' mood, because indeed this is a page turner. But believe me, after all pages are turned, you won't say 'what an inspiring story,' but closer to 'son, I'm disappointed.'

Good art, interesting character design, but crowded with useless character and lame placement.

If you've played The Witcher, you'll know some of the cough distinct characteristics of this manga.
This woeful tale could certainly have been so much darker. But seems like the author decided to keep it pretty light-hearted.

Absurdly strong protagonist, corrupt officials, plainly evil enemies, innocent bystanders...

Frankly, I was expecting a cast full of morally questionable characters and the protagonist crossing the Moral Event Horizon every time (well, the premise was kinda begging for it).

But don't let my rants disappoint you, this is a brilliant fantasy adventure, the actions are good, large-scale battles are plentiful, dungeons and dragons are the norm, oh, and the whole world is against you. Bring it on.
