I'm honestly glad I didn't stop at volume 1 or I would never have known that Shima matched Hikaru's freak. 😂 Like, they literally 'raped' each other. What else to say. 🤷

Volume 3 had an art style change, I liked some of it but a lot of times it felt wonky or ugly;;

By volume 4 I was really starting to feel like 'there's more?? but I'm tired'.

Some random bits:

-Did Takashima (crush on Amamiya) see Amamiya try to rape Shima seeing as how she went after him??

-Listen I love long-haired guys but this just made Hikaru come across even more childish

-Along that vein, Hikaru calling Shima 'sir' the whole time got on my nerves so much, I'm sure the original was 'sensei' and I think that would have got on my nerves way less. 'Sir' is reserved for the boss's Boss, not your HS teacher where I'm from. I don't think Hikaru will be using Shima's name anytime soon though considering the power imbalance stemming from starting off as teacher/student.

-The het couple was interesting how it came to be, I don't recall ever seeing anything like it. Amamiya better treat her right for the rest of their lives.

-I was also surprised how many people were into Hikaru lol, one because he was cute and the other because he was cool

Ended up keeping the 6/10 rating, glad to be finished but not _too _ upset that I read this.

CWs: Rape, rape as the start of a relationship, attempted rape by ex-lover, teenager!seme and the power imbalance that comes with teacher/student and being closeted

Many are saying this is "very sweet" but it isn't really.

First off, it starts off with a rape. It may get "backpeddled" by the author later but it is still a rape considering Hikaru did it forcefully

At least as far as he knew, he was forcing Shima. So the intent was still rape.

Additionally, it starts as a fake relationship and continues as a fake relationship. You can't say it's a sweet fluffy romance when Shima is constantly denying it exists, or never saying what he feels and therefore constantly being cold towards Hikaru.

Then you get the ending. A lot of drama is introduced towards the end with two other rivals and such. And though it keeps building up to a confrontation, one never comes. Instead it's all solved with a hug and an "oh I see" and that's it. Like, really? Two of the four volumes were devoted to this and that's it?

And any happy ending is boiled down to the last three pages where the author suggests Shima has suddenly changed and everything will be sunshine and rainbows.

So no, I don't agree with the 30% that somehow think this is a perfect work. And I don't agree with calling it a sweet fluffy story. It's a melodrama with no satisfying conclusion.

Im a fan of fluffy and slow romance so I love it. The uke is cold outside but he is deeply in love with the seme and the seme is head over heels for him. Their love rivals actually are not as annoying as other manga. The art is pretty too.

Beautiful art, not so on the story

First of all, let me say I am in love with Takaku-sensei. <33 Her art is breathtaking. That said, I dont really feel for the story. I cant blame her since it's not her story-- there is just no depth at all, it feels shallow and underdeveloped.

That said, the art is so darn gorgeous. Do check out other manga/stories written by Takaku-sensei.

It's cute and sweet, albeit cliched. The art is really nice- Shima is a reallllly pretty guy, haha, and Hikaru is good-looking, too! But... Hikaru sort of reminds me of my cousin (he's really earnest and honest) so it was a bit disconcerting lol, but overall, it was a nice story.

...........is what I think. I'm surprised that their love rivals is not forceful kind of characters, unlike the normal yaoi manga where some of their rivals could be really forceful and cruel to get the person to like them. But I think this way is much more better, plus they have happy endings! The story is very warm and fluffy after all :3

OMG This manga is so cute! I love how Hikaru is so in love with is teacher that's juste so cute. I wish that Shima would be more competitive but well it's not is personality and I kind of understand him because I'm a bit like him ..Well anyway good manga I strongly recommend it : )

waaa, it was so sweet that I felt like I was biting a big piece of chocolate during reading it!! >_< it started a little odd and slow but after a bit angst and troubles, the bitter sweet feelings of love turned into the most sweetest things ever. not bad for a light read and a happy ending is guaranteed but I doubt any one will remember it after a week.

uwahhh so sweet...i love how the mangaka is able to portray the guys in a sweet use ummmm forcefull kinda way...lol. this is a highly recommended manga >.<

I just love Hikaru. Shima...feel like slapping him in a few occasions but his lack of confident is some what make him sweet in a way. Again, I just love Hikaru. So very gentle and sweet story.
