Description

Hanjoo Yeo, a reserved and introverted student, has been hopelessly in love with the most popular guy in college, Chanyoung Choi. Despite the unrequited love and constant feelings of regret and humiliation, Hanjoo finds himself unable to end the relationship. But when his father remarries and introduces a stepbrother, Jihyun Yoo, into the mix, strange things start to happen. Nobody seems to notice the tall and handsome stepbrother, and soon, things begin to take an unexpected turn. (Tapas)

The art is great. The story is spoooky as heck. Season 1 ended without giving solid answers intentionally. I'm on pins and needles as Season 2 begins giving answers.

Jihyun, the stepbrother, is indeed a supernatural being, a mountain spirit who brought a young Hanjoo back from near death, to be specific. Questions still remain as to why sunbae was able to see Hanjoo as he is and also notice Jihyun was not human, and why Jihyun recognized Chanyeong as a threat that would ruin him and Hanjoo existentially. Is Chanyeong also a supernatural being or someone like a shaman whose powers are still latent because the spirit hasn't descended upon him? And why/how did Jihyun make it so that people can see Hanjoo as he is all of a sudden, rather than seeing him as an outcast because he's already had one foot in the underworld? And will Jihyun cease to exist without Hanjoo, if desire is the only thing that enables Jihyun's existence? And what is his actual form if he needs to warn Hanjoo not to run away from him upon seeing his actual form? While I'm not hot on the sunbae, I also don't want him hurt. He's not a good person but he's also not an evil being. He does register Jihyun as an existential threat to Hanjoo. I don't want either Chanyeong or Jihyun to get hurt, let alone have their existence be threatened.

What I can say is that I will be spending my Tapas ink on this series.

Lastly, I wish more titles retained their Korean titles, which in this instance means "Falling Horizontally," a reference to how Hanjoo feels his life has felt like. "Falling horizontally" sounds so much more interesting than "Into the Horizon," which isn't really conveying the same idea.

The plot is so good. So the authors are really very good at Yaoi stories. And thanks to the artist for Jihyun's beautiful face, I could stare at it all day. I need a poster of it, where can I get a quick poster? 💯
