A shoujo story more about the cliches/generic stuff than actual plot

If you're looking for anything not cliche or generic this isn't the manga for you. Because boy is it that. Now cliches aren't necessarily a bad thing (nor fanservice which this manga has a ton of) but when it ruins the story you know there's a problem. Has interesting elements to it such as humans being vessels or avatars for gods and them being the key to saving evil gods. I wish it expanded more on the fatality of a god turned evil but this is by heart NON-SERIOUS manga. It's pretty fun to read if you switch off your brain. It's saving grace is: cute gods, pretty art, hot bishiesand some characters.
Talking about one of the main genres of this manga, romance, tbh my feelings towards the main couple and male lead is tepid at best. I'm pretty sure the female lead fell for the male lead for a good reason besides him being handsome as hell, but I can't recall the reason or if there was at all one besides him being hot. Because you see the heroine has a tendency to constantly fangirl over the male lead and fantasise about him 24/7 I kid you not. Was a bit cute at first but got dry and couple quickly lost its flavour by not introducing anything new to their interactions. The second male lead has the promise to provide a more interesting romantic relationship considering one is a god and the other is a human etc but there's no chance of that happening sadly.
If you want something to read where you can switch off your brain, goggle at hot bishies and pretty art and squeal at fan service then this is for you to read. And who knows you might even derive actual enjoyment from the romance if you're into the main couple and male lead. Everyone has their own cup of tea they enjoy.

I had some fun with it though. This is definitely one of those 'shut-your-brain-and-you're-fine' titles. My only lasting gripe with it is the art. Not that it's bad or anything - it's really great and all but I felt that my eyes couldn't focus nor settle in one place or follow the flow. In other words, it was a tad confusing to follow - visually.
Fun and then...

Beautiful art, gorgeous guys—and girls—campy LOL hijinks (romance and otherwise). I don't think it's really intended to be taken seriously, not when you have a kiss god and a cosplay god and so on. But just when I think the mangaka has lost sight of the plot with all the comic detours, it's all tied together. And then
Fun, heartwarming, with nice pops of romantic thrills, no Big Bad. And the girl doesn't fall in love with the guy just because she thinks he looks hot or he puts the moves on her. Normally I'd rate this an 8 or 9 for its genre but the events I mentioned in the spoiler pushed it to 10 for me. It's a rare story that can make me enjoy crying.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
the final battle comes along and makes me cry. I've read those chapters over 5 times and even though I know everything turns out all right, the final battle and its aftermath still gets to me.

Armeria is, well, honestly kind of amazing. Not in the "amazingly good" or "amazingly bad" sense but in the, "I cannot believe someone wrote this kind of story, I have no words," sense.
Probably the best way to describe Armeria is through metaphors. Or overwrought, purple prose with flowers sparkling in the background of every page. In other words, imagine all the sickeningly sweet romance stories you thought of as a five-year-old, complete with princes and white horses and cute animals, and that's kind of what Armeria is. It's an escapist, wish-fulfillment fantasy, yes, but one of the most innocuous I've ever seen. The main protagonist is adorable and strong, her love interest is cool and suave, and everyone else are beautiful and supportive and kind. The world of Armeria is as close to a utopia as I can see, where there are real no bad guys (only gods in need of purification), the only real trouble is romcom/high-school hijinks, and everyone is genuinely kind deep down.
Armeria is so tooth-achingly sweet, in fact, that I can't help but wonder if this is all an elaborate attempt at trolling shoujo romance readers: taking all the sweetest tropes and playing them completely, utterly straight with really, really fantastic art. It's kind of a series that I can enjoy only if I don't take anything seriously.
Otherwise, it's a great recommendation for younger readers (I think). The only issue is that the characters are (supposedly) in high school, but the plot is definitely down in the elementary/middle-school level.

Kinda slow. And people just can't seem to see past the happiness of the main girl. I'm pretty sure her past is what going to be the critical part of the story. after all, the first line was, the fate of the world is in her hand, therefore something big is going to happen right?
Anyway, I like the art and the concept, Just wish the manga be translated faster hehe

The main characters are so boring. The girl is the sweet and kind type. Which unfortunately means that her personality is so 2D that you cannot find a single thing likeable about her because she's just. so. boring. The side characters are far more interesting. Character development is non-existent. And one of my biggest pet peeves. The clothing. The heroine is given some sort of Greek style type of clothing, except the only thing it reminds me of is a Greek helmet matched with a sailor moon outfit. Someone please burn it. I cannot even.

Generic characters and story line but still cute and somewhat entertaining. Note worthy is the beautiful art. It would have been much better with different setting but Oh, well ><
If one is manga newby or shoujo fan - this one would be a nice read.
