The first story is good. I’m certain the older brother planned the couple to be a couple. The second is also good with the couple having sweet intimation until they were busted at the end. The third is okay I guess except the older brother is a snake. The last story is better. It’s funny and strange for a Colonel to worry of his cute Hans more than the war. What a show off!

I usually don't like oneshots with unrelated stories, but I always give Shin Mizukami the benefit of the doubt. This particular oneshot ends each story on a comical note. The set of stories does have three themes that ties them all together 1)The uke has a brother to whom their relationship is strained in some way, 2)Consensual mutual love, with the uke initiating the sexual aspect of the relationship every time, 3)Sex in a public place where they could be walked in on at any minute.

I'm not sure if the last story is shotacon or not. Mizukami's ukes are almost always 16, Han's age is never stated, & Rosenburg is a huge bulky man who makes his other adult friend look small by comparison. In the next volume, Hans is significantly taller, but it doesn't seem to indicate the much time has passed between the two mangas. It's got to be the silliest comedy Mizukami has written, & the author's note on the last page is a hoot too.

Okay, you need to know that this is kind of a series, but all the books have different titles. Read them in this order:
*Koutetsu no Daitenshi.
*Datenshi ni Sasageru Uta.
*Daitenshi: Harem Nights (62 page official doujinshi).
*Datenshi ni Sasageru Uta: Family Visit (18 page official doujinshi).
*Doutei Saizensen.
*Bed no Shita no Himitsu.

I love practically all work by Mizukami Shin, so therefore, of course I enjoyed this one as well. I am just in love with her art, especially when it comes to her seme / "manly" characters. They aren't bara or anything extreme like that, but they all have just a touch of elegance and beauty mixed with a sense of sexiness. Mizukami Shin also has a talent for portraying emotions in her art as well; you can almost feel the passion the characters are experiencing during a love scene, or even feel the pain of a character losing a loved one. The only complaint I would have though, is the character design for the ukes. I understand they're in a war zone time period, but even in the modern day settings, the ukes all looked rather similar. Namely, the short, black haired ones. If they were all in one scene together, I probably wouldn't be able to differentiate between the captain of the baseball team, or Hans. Same goes for the ukes of Shin-sensei's other series as well.

The stories in this particular stories were rather cute, too. The sex scenes are steamy, and I'm definitely glad that this isn't the end of Hans and Michel; I thought their relationship in particular was rather adorable. But maybe that's just all the cuteness that Hans has to offer or the fact that it's set in a war zone. Some of the stories will probably seem rather short, but that's a given considering most of the stories in this series are oneshots. The plot for each of these stories isn't extremely deep, it's quite mild actually, so don't expect anything too serious in this series at least.

Though, not only is this series sexy and cute, it is also rather funny. Multiple scenes in this series had me chuckling, and sometimes I would laugh loud enough to stir the members of my household awake.
All in all, this series has everything for me; great art, cute plots, comedy, etc.
Don't let any of the covers direct you away from Mizukami Shin's work in general, because she is truly a great mangaka. I personally loved all the work that I've read by her, and if given the chance, I hope you enjoy her work as much as I do.

I admit to catch my eyes, you should have a good art first. And the first time I saw it, I thought it was a "cheap" manga. but I was wrong. very, very wrong. the art IS NOT BAD! and the story itself IS GREAT! I mean, even though the theme is Military on WWI or II, THIS MANGA COULD MAKES ME ROFL LOLOLOL xDD

since then, Mizukami sensei never failed makes me smile 😀

When I saw the cover of this manga I was like 'Hell no way I'm reading this'...but at the end I did. I loved it! This one was much better the sequal a little. Overall I enjoyed and look forward to more of this Manga ka's work.

There is Nothing That Art Cannot Express!

Shin Mizukami has done it again: She has reaffirmed to me why she is one of my favourite mangakas. Mizukami-sensei is the best oneshot writer and illustrator that I have tumbled blissfully upon. She seemingly effortlessly manages to create characters that I immediately connect with and root for! She always has an element of darkness to her stories that I have a passion for and she delves in with such a deft hand of illustration and perfectly paced words. Her stories aren't for everyone: They do have non-con and manipulation. They grab my stomach and put it my throat. If I am going to remember and be affected by a BL story, it is usually one of hers!

I enjoyed all of the stories in this anthology. Chapter 1 is the highlight of this volume to me. Although short, the oneshot Silently, Give Yourself To Me, packs a punch. Fukami, the older brother, is constantly bossing and criticizing Hiromu, his younger brother. He also guilt trips him because he has taken over the 'family' responsibility since their parents' death. Takigawa, the friend of Fukami, comes over and the atmosphere immediately changes with his good nature and eager smile. He is thankful, appreciative and complimentary to Hiromu. Thus, we come to the most amazing shower denial scene and then the most stunning in-the-dark, fondling a belonging of the man he loves and then .....Dum Da DUM: Kitchen release scene! The very last scene is so funny! WOOHoooooo.

Chapter 2 is Strike Song and chapter 3 is It's Okay To Love Me or As Long As You Do It With Love. They are both captivating, but not as tense, oneshots. The first one is about a boy who 'sells' himself out to a baseball shop owner because he lost his team mates' money to buy new equipment. The second one is the younger brother of an irresponsible 'friend' of a cafe owner. When he 'borrows' $30K from the cafe owner, the little brother is left as collateral. Although not as dynamic, memorable and shockingly HOT as Silently, Give Yourself To Me, these stories still have amazing drawings. Mizukami's ability to infuse eyes and postures with emotion is outstanding. The story lines were all very simple, but still engaging.

The Dictatorial Archangel series of three stories was wonderful! The first story was the best: The relationship developed with great sexual tension and also some depth, with the Col. teaching the little brother like an older brother or father-figure would. The rest of the stories weren't as amazing, mostly because they were 'humourous' takes and I'm not a big over-the-moon fan of humour in BL. As far humour goes though, both The Archangel's Bride and Colonel Rosenberg's Diary did make me laugh!
